Hi my name is Karla, I decided to check into to the lab-band surgery 1 year ago in Feburay 2009 insurance would pay after the requirement of a year long diet and exercise program. I have been through years and years of up and down dieting and hated to wait but as it turned out my husband refused to support my efforts so I delayed my plans. In Oct 2009 my marriage feel apart and I changed jobs. In March of 2010 I tried again. The new insurance only reguired a 3 month food and exercice program. I decided to invest in myself for a change and  go for it, despite my primary doctors recommendation. My goal is more then just to just lose weight, it to improve my health, I have DM 2 and hypertenstion, improve my self-esteem and to get my life back. I am now engaged to my best freind of 30 years. He has his concerns about the surgery but supports my decision. I have faith in the Lord and my Surgeons Its gonna be fine.Thanks Karla
