    Exercising post op?

I'm a revision from band. I've always been a slow loser. I've lost 26.6 lbs so far including my one week pre op diet. I started at 248.8.

    Exercising post op?

I started at two weeks post op. All I've been doing thus far is the elliptical and bike (besides walking). I'm 6 weeks post op now and have an appointment with my surgeon on Friday and plan to make sure it's ok to add in weights and ab exercises.
  3. I'm at 5.5 weeks, the past week and a half I've been up and down the same 1-2 pounds. It's driving me crazy. I'm also upset because I go to my doc next week for my next check up and I feel like it's going to look like I've only last 6lbs since my last visit [emoji20]. Make me look bad and it's depressing too. I just have to keep doing what I'm doing
  4. I'm 5 weeks post op and I struggle to get 600 some days. I really want to increase my calories, but I'm not really sure how. Starting next week I'm supposed to increase to 3oz protein and 1/2 cup veggies ( from 2 oz and 1/3 cup) though I'm not sure if I'll be able to eat all that. I go to the gym too 3 times a week so I know I need more calories and protein (my RD told me I should try to increase the amount, I'm just getting 60grams with a premier shake during the day

    Tired of eggs

I'm not a breakfast person either. I had given up breakfast years ago. I went to my dietitian recently and told her I don't eat breakfast also I was having problems with nausea (5 weeks post op now) She told me I really need to eat breakfast even if it is just like 1/2 a banana and a piece of cheese. Especially since I go to the gym in the morning. So I've started eating 1/2 a banana in the morning. My nausea has almost disappeared, not sure if it's because I'm eating solids now or the fact I'm eating something in the morning. I'm hoping to add a little protein to it too, but the first day I had the banana and string cheese I felt so full. So I'll work my way up to it. Maybe I'll try eating eggs on my off days

    Wendys Chili

It depends what your post op diet plan is. I'm 4 weeks out today and am just going to the chopped/ground stage. Which is the first time I'm allowed to eat meat not puréed (which I refused to eat last stage). Therefore I'm actually stopping at Wendy's on my way to work today to bring for dinner.
  7. I'm 3.5 weeks post op. Had surgery on 3/6. For the past, probably week and a half I've been nauseas every morning. I haven't been even "eating" anything until around noon and even then I'm kind of pushing it. Sometimes I feel better after eating sometimes not. I was supposed to get my TOM yesterday, but it didn't start yet and I have been known to get very nauseas the day I start, but this has been going on for a while now. And before anyone asks, there is no possible way I'm pregnant, lol. Has anyone else had this issue? If it goes on much longer I'll probably move up my recheck appointment.

    Nausea in morning

No, not drinking coffee, never been a coffee drinker

    Nausea in morning

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. When I mentioned it at a support group meeting, the coordinator asked if I still had my gall bladder, which I do. But I have no other signs of gall bladder issues so I doubt that's it. I hate going to the doctor and my next recheck isn't until the 21st. I guess I'll give it another week, if I'm still nauseas ill call

    Nausea in morning

Definitely not constipated. I guess it could be from lack of calories. I was already taking omeprazole pre op so I'm still taking that. I am taking vitamins in the morning, but I was already nauseas prior to taking them.

    Driving

As long as you have no narcotics in your system you should be able to drive. I drove on day 3 or 4 post op. But I hadn't had any pain meds since the first night in the hospital.
  12. I had band to sleeve revision on March 6th. I went back to work on March 17th. So I took 11 days. I have a physical job as a LVT. But me I'm not good with nothing to do and may have gone back sooner as I was very bored and restless. For me pain was minimal, I did not have any pain meds after the first night. Yes still hurt when I got up and down and especially in and out of bed and trying to get comfortable, but the pain was self limiting so no need for pain meds. I'm 3 weeks out and I do still have a little pain every so often in my right side, but nothing crazy

Such thing as cute "extra wide" sneakers?

Right now my feet are so wide. I too am wearing men's EE new balance. Last time I had lost weight my feet narrowed a little. I'm hoping I can at least get back to wearing women's sneakers

    12 days post op

I asked my surgeon at my post op recheck and he told me not to lift more than 40lbs for the next 4 weeks. I thought that was kind of high, but I'm going with it. He knows I work with animals (am an LVT). So this is kind of hard for me since I did not tell any of my coworkers I had surgery, my boss does know. Luckily I haven't had to come up with an excuse yet, but I'm sure it will happen...lol
  15. I had my band removed and was sleeved on March 6th. I lost weight, but sadly I never found the green zone and ended up gaining it all back. (Wasn't at my highest, but never wanted to go there again). Even though I'm still on liquids (get to start purée tomorrow, yay!) it already feels different. Best of luck to you!

6 days post op and depressed

I had one week post op Clear liquids, one week full. Plus I had a one week liquid diet pre op. I get to start puree on Monday. I can't wait to have something with a little sustance! Though it will probably just be yogurt and ricotta bake and egg. I can't stand the idea of purée meats. Plus my Protein drinks

    A little disappointed

If my stats are anywhere like yours I would be ecstatic! We did not gain this weight overnight, so unfortunately as much as we would love to just lose it overnight, it is not going to happen

    So much water...

I thought I was crazy. Pre op I drank a lot of water probably like 120oz or so. I used to pee all the time. I'm currently 10 days post op and already am getting like 90 oz or so and I feel like I'm barely going to the bathroom.
  19. I'm frustrated too. I'm 9 days post op and the past two days the scale has gone up. Yes I'm an everyday weighed, it has to keep me on track. I know I can't be possible gaining weight since I'm still on liquids and probably the most calories I've ingested is probably around 500. It's just annoying to see (especially since I have my recheck tomorrow and I was hoping for a better number). I don't think my body likes being in such a prolonged extreme deficit.

    Craving spaghetti

I am only 6 days post op, so I can't eat anything yet. But a number of weeks ago my coworker let me try her zucchini pasta. I was surprised it really tasted good, just like the sauce she put on it. So I just ordered a spiralizer on amazon. I'm going to try to make that when I'm able to
  21. Thanks, I decided to get some and strained it (gave the egg to my dogs, they were happy). I only had a teeny bit though. I'm still trying to get my second protein drink down. I just wanted something different.
  22. I am 6 days post sleeve. I am supposed to go to full liquids tomorrow. I was wondering if I could have egg drop Soup? Or would I have to strain the egg? My diet said I could have strained cream Soups (I'm honestly not a soup eater besides egg drop). If not it's ok I really have no desire to eat right now but curious if I could. Thanks
  23. It seems everyone's diet progresses different. There seems to be no set protocol.
  24. I plan to ask my doctors team on Monday. I had surgery on Monday the 6th. Every morning when I wake up I have this weird feeling. All I can explain it is a combination between a little nausea and like a fluttery feeling in my stomach. I'm not sure how else to describe it. Yesterday it subsided during the day unless I tried doing to much but came back at night. I am a revision from the band and pre op I was told that there was a greater risk of leaks due to the band. So I am kind of nervous. Not that I'm thinking that is the problem.
  25. I was lucky in a sense. I was worried, mine was supposed to start a couple days before surgery. I think the pre op liquid diet threw me off and I got it a couple days early. Luckily all was done before surgery. I usually luckily only go 3-4 days.
