    Unmotivated

Hey been there done that it's not worth beating yourself up over it. It looks like your only a month or so out if thats right you more than likely need a fill so you can start feeling restriction. It's hard when you're doing all of it on sheer will power. Call your Dr. soon.
  3. It took five pokes and lots of moving around in each poke to find the fill spot. After the 1st 2 pokes he found the spot and put in 2cc, but wanted to put in 1cc more and after 3 more poke and lots of moving the needle around in each hole he was unsuccesful....... He said the next fill he will do under xray. I now have 3cc as he had put 1cc in during the surgery.:tt2:

  5. I'm going to talk to him at my next fill my Dr. didn't even numb me.
  6. Oh my I didn't think about damage to the tubing. How do you know if the tubing is damaged? I also wonder if the surgery is free if they screw it up?
  7. anxiety is building up I have my first fill tommorow. All of a sudden I feel like I must make huge changes in my life. I'm not talking about just my eating habits either. Like getting rid of my van and getting a car. I don't know if its fear of loosing weight, my husband is even acting weird too. Did any of you go through this?

    Having a hard time...

Don't feel bad I'm going through the same thing. But it is my understanding that sometimes they put very little in the band after surgery. I have my first fill 7/19/10 I am hoping to have restriction cause I have none right now. I almost feel like every meal is my last. But we did this to loose weight and change our lives. Hang in there I'm sure the fill will make a difference. Just try to eat like we're are supposed to.
  10. Thank you I will keep hanging in there.
  11. My spouse says I've changed. I have been voiceing my opinion more than usual. We had a discussion about a pair of $70.00 jeans that my sister purchased. The just of it was we can't afford to pay that for a pair of jean. I said they don't make jean like that to fit me and tryed to blow it off. But he continued to drive home his message. I finally told him if I want a pair of 70.00 Jean I would buy them and not to tell me what I can and can not do. Now he says I have become hard to get along with and a bitch. Has anyone had to deal with trying to reclaim their individualality again and keep the home front happy. I could sure use some advice:sad:

    bowel movement?

I would try eating some apple sauce. It seemed to be several days before I had a BM too. The stuff they knock you out with also slows down the bowls it takes a while for them to wake up. I was also starving after surgery but I was on liquids for about 8 days after surgery. you might try eating more often. like every couple hours. make sure you still eat the small portions though.
  13. Thanks for all your support. I will try to keep our communications open. I think this has been part of the reason I've gained so much weight. I have not spoke my mind or expressed my feelings. I'm real good at forgetting but not anymore I can't keep doing that to my body.
  14. So far since the fear is gone I feel like I can eat and drink like I have always been able to do. However I go for my first fill on 7/19/10 should I avoid eating prior to the fill? I don't want to get sick at my first fill. I have had no sickness at all.

    Ceiling on BMI??

Hi I didn't have this problem but the liquid diet they put you on prior to surgery will probable bring you down about 35 lbs. by the time insurance gives you the approval. They had me on an 800 caloreie diet with 2 adkins protien shakes, 2 fruits and 3/4 cup steamed veggies a day prior to surgery you might start there. maybe change it up a little so the 800 calories you use keeps you feeling fuller longer. You can do this you just have to set your mind to it and jump through all the hoops. Good Luck
  16. Well is there any last minute advise. I am having my surgery tomorow. My husband ask how much I have lost on the liquid diet? I said 7 lbs. He said well all you have to do is stay on their diet then......... I don't think he really understands the whole gaining and losing thing. So what this is for me. I have my vitamins, my gas x strips, and clear liquids is there anything else I need?
  17. Thanks for all the well wishes and tips. I am looking forward to the first day of the rest of my life.
  18. Hey I started my liquid diet tuesday June 8th, 2010 I'm starving.
