    Coffee???

I have drank coffee everyday since the banding without any ill effects. Coffee tastes good and its a good motivator to get to work. Remember, just don't chug it anymore. Coffee goes down great. Theres a whole laundry list of things I can't eat anymore. The coffee stays. Life is short enough.

    Vomiting every day...

I have vomited every day since my band finally got adjusted tight enough to do the job it now functions. Sure I vomit, but remember the upper stomach pouch is only the size of pingpong ball. So just a little spits up. Like a child. I only vomit when I eat something to rough. I have to really think about what I am eating. You are fine. Just don't gobble food like the old days anymore. I still do and still pay for it. Of course if the puking gets to really wear on go to the doctor. For me, its just to stop fooling around and watch what I eat.
  3. Until the band is adjusted enough to restrict the food by force, all you can do is diet and exersie till the appointment time comes up for another fill. It took me 4 months of fiddling around argueing with the doctor till it finally ratched it up enough to do the job. Now the weight is really coming down. All my prior diets and exersise failed, too weak you know. What it took for me was a phyical barrier like the band. Its great now. But I still vomit when I forget and take a big bite. I am like a dog that you toss a snack at. I just gobble it down. Now with the band that no longer can happen. Just keep tightening the band till it cuts off all room for mistakes and it WILL WORK.
  4. Vomiting is really overrated. Not bad at all. Getting rid of stuck food is a quick manuver. No gagging and pulling towel racks off the bathroom wall. Just quick "blahch" and its out. No smell, no tears, no red face. And, no fear. Just a feeling of needing to pop it out. All on autopilot too. So the bit about fingers down the throat went out after high school beer drinking days. The good part is that the process only happens right after eating something too big. No delayed reaction. It won't happen on lovers lane an hour after a pizzia. Its immidate. So its always in the back of ones mind that it can happen so you always make a quick check for a big tree to hide behind.
  5. Everytime I vomit something up I think if it will slip the band. I am glad to hear the warning signs when it really happens. Thanks for the reality check. Getting to my sweet spot took alot of experimentation for me and after 4 months, I am still being surprised. Self awarness is a very big part of this banding experiance.
