Just had my first post-op visit today. Lost 17 pounds in 10 days. Hey new me!!! still on liquids until next Monday when I start soft foods. Can't wait.

Had a severe pain yesterday after taking the chewable vitamins. Pain stopped while I was heading to the emergency room. Dumping maybe ? I was so scare that I did not take the vitamins today. I'm hungry with the liquid diet. But I feel safe on it though. I've lost about 10 pounds this week if not more. Still on pain medication. Te pain is getting better, but slowly to my taste. Walking around helped with the gas pain. But I have no regrets, thing are only going to get better!!! Yeah!

Just got home from hospital. Surgery was on monday and went well. I'm a little sored. Thanks for your well wishes!

I have pcos too and I'm scheduled for surgery on 4/23/2012. Currently on pre-op diet. Will keep you posted.

Hi all, has anyone out there gotten pregnant after neing scheduled for surgery? What happen after you had the baby? I was scheduled for surgery on March 21, 2011. But found out that i was pregnant In February. Would I be ask to statr everything from the beginning? Is my approval still valid? What's your experience? Please help!

Hi, my surgery is set for 3/21/2011. I was wondering when to take a leave of absence from my work. My pre-op diet is set to start on febrruary 24. I feel like it is too long and I'm afraid I won't succeed and will be too tired to work because of not eating enough. Also, I don't want to tell anybody at work because I don' twant to be judged. At this point my husband is the only person who nows about this. He is not very supportive but he is not discouraging me either. Please share your experiences. Thanks.

Hey everyone. Good to be back for some updates: 6 months medical weight management completed. Surgery date set for 03/21/2011. Starting pre-op diet on 2/24/2011. I'm both excited and anxious. The pre-op diet time frame seems too long to me. What's your take on this? Also, how long were you out of work before and after surgery? Thaks for your inputs.

Hi, i've been researching WLS for quite sometime. I attended a seminar on july 15. Initial consult was yesterday August 03; Psych. evaluation scheduled for tuesday August 10. Started Weight watchers on my own on July 17. Appointment with Nutritionist on Friday August 6. Anybody out there going through these stages? I need some friends for mutual support. My Insurance, Care first Blue Choice requires 6 months of medical weight management. Can my Insurance deny coverage if I loose too much weight during the six months? My Doctor said no but I just want a second opinion. I enjoy reading and talking to folks on this forum. I've learned a lot and found tons of inspiration here. Anyone interested in sharing the ups and downs of this journey? I know I won't be banded for another 5 to 6 months.:tongue2: I'm sooo impatient and afraid I could get discouraged along the way.
