    Bathroom Problems

I have had problems since my banding in July and my clinic recommened milk of magnesia which works really well if you can get it down, it tastes terrible. Last week though I went on the 5 day pouch test and was thrilled to discover that the 2 days of fluids not only gave me increased restriction but I've been going everyday! Plus I've lost 4lbs and ended a long plateau!

    Plateau.....time to persevere

I totally understand where you are right now. I was banded in July 2010 and I just had a two month plateau. Its officially over though. I started a new workout plan that has helped change things up and the scale is finally moving again.
  8. Sorry I just found your post today, I've been sick. Well you are officially a bandster now! I was also banded in Mississauga this past July, I'm down 66lbs and I'm 200% happy with my decision! I hope your recovery goes quickly! Take care.

    The BIG Day!!

Best of luck! I have been banded 7 months today and I am so happy I did it! I was really nervous after I arrived at the clinic and had to wait, the rest was a piece of cake. 5 days after I felt little pain at all. Your new life starts tomorrow!!!!!!

    How Is This Possible

You really shouldn't weigh yourself everyday, the scale can play havoc with your brain . You have been doing so well its probably just a plateau. Hang tough and keep up the good work. Maybe try adding more protein? You can do it!

    Time off...

I have a very physical job so I took 2 weeks. I had quite a bit of pain after my surgery so I would say you need at least 5 days off! A week will be fine. Take care of yourself!

    hair loss ???

I also had a lot of hair loss that really scared me. It started at about 3 months post op and ended around 6 months. I also started off with really thick hair and I lost about half. Its just starting to thicken up again now and I'm missing my more manageable thinner hair. I actually went to see my family doctor because I was really scared I would go bald. LOL I took my vitamins and ate all the required protein. The physician explained to me that all the hairs in the dormant phase will fall out because of the stress from the surgery and the extreme diet change. He said it would peak at 4 months post op, end around 6 months post op, and that I'd be back to my full thickness 6 months after that. He was right on! He laughed that I didn't time things well, my hair will be nice and thick again by summer - LOL!!!!
  24. I think because I've been cross country skiing so much over the past few months I have been sculpting fat into muscle and I have not been losing as much as I expected too. But today I finally hit the -60's (-61.8) AND I'm in the 250 weight catagory. Goodbye 260's FOREVER!!!! I love my band so much! I'll be doing a happy dance all day!
