I stayed the same this week! I'm good with that, I had a defill this week as well.
-
I know I 100% need a defill, but I'm a little freaked out about it. I'm only 10lbs away from onderland!!! They are going to take .5cc's out this afternoon. It kind of seems like a lot. It will be so nice to eat solid foods again. It all began with a case of gastro in May but this heat has done me in. I'm scared!!!
-
The heat does affect the band! I actually have to go for my first defill today. I know I need it 100% but I'm still nervous about losing control. Yikes!!!

Thrilled to report I'm 210, down 5lbs this week :D !!!

When You Get To Your Goal Weight, How Do You Plan To Reward Your Self??
pollywogg replied to Anniie.N's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I do tons of mini goals along the way. I do something small like a mani, pedi, fitness magazine subscription, or earings every 5 lbs. For hitting 100lbs lost my hubby took me to a spa for a day then a night at a hotel in a beautiful suite. For onderland (only 13lbs away) we are going on a shopping trip to the Mall of America. (I'm in Canada). I LOVE the idea of a ring for hitting my goal! What a beautiful idea! I'm SO going to do that! -
When You Hit Green Zone, You'll Know It
pollywogg replied to kbliss78's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Here's a stumper. I had my last fill in February and thought I was in the green zone until I got gastro in May. Since then I've been very tight and I now understand why the nurse at my clinic always reminds me to take pinky nail sized bites and chew chew chew. For the first time since surgery I don't think of food AT ALL. I'm amazed how I just eat a few bites and I'm satisfied. Its great and the weight is falling off fast again. -
Very exciting times! Keep us posted!!

I have had one for a few months now and I love it to. It really reminds me to move as much as I can. To park a little farther from the building and to take the stairs. Its great motivation!! It is super frustrating though when you forget to put it on - grrrrr!

Who Has Lost Over 100 Pounds?!?!
pollywogg replied to Rockin' Robyn's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've lost over 100lbs. 105 so far and 48 to go!! :) -
I am seriously considering getting a reduction as well. I'm waiting till I'm in onderland though just in case I end up with nothing.
-
I had been doing intense circuit training and running from Jan - May and they hit a plateau. I had an opportunity to have a trainer for a month and he told me NOT to do the same type of exercise for more than 6 weeks, to shake it up. So he had me do standard slow weight lifting with 1-2 mins inbetween sets and he put my cardio target heart rate much slower then I had been doing. I lost 17 lbs in the month I had with him!!! Who would have thought!!! So now my plan it to do something different (swimming, biking, yoga, etc) for only 6 weeks then switch it up. I'm looking forward to it.

I was banded July 8, 2010 so I'm just approaching my 2 year bandversery. I expected to loose weight after being banded and I generally followed the rules. That took practice though. You don't have to start off perfect. I expected to loose a little quicker than I have but I gained so much more that I never bargained for. First of all there is a bounce in my step everyday, I love getting dressed in the morning, I am confident when meeting new people and no longer embarrassed of myself. I finally have gone through and used that closet full of too small clothes that I accumulated over years. I am down 12 pant sizes and shop in regular clothing stores. I have tons of energy! Other than NSV's though I have leaned so much about exercise and nutrition. I have changed my lifestyle in SO many little ways. I love the new me and I love to learn more and more about healthy living. I have averaged 1 lb a week but that sure does add up! My next big goal is onderland! I have dreamed of that for 17 years, since my first child was born. I didn't imagine I would be THIS happy!!!
-
Don't forget that it all adds up. I was banded July 2010 and I hit the 100 lb weight loss yesterday. I feel awesome!! Slow and steady wins the race right! Keep working on yourself, keep learning about nutrition and exersice, plus challenge and push yourself. I have changed and learned so much in the past 2 years all for the better and all permanent lifestyle changes.

Help!! Almost Two Years Out And I Am Stuck
pollywogg commented on racheros73's blog entry in Blog 95421
You can still do this! I was banded the exact same time as you and although it is slower I'm still losing. Talk to your clinic, see if you need a fill and go back to following the basic band rules. Your clinic is there for support too. Another thing is to start an exercise plan. I joined Jillian Michaels site on line and I've been doing her workouts for a couple of months, they are hard but you see a quick physical difference! Work your band and it will work for you!!!
