Pre-Op Day One of Slimfast - I NEED YOUR HELP!
Perk25 replied to yannabee's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Get the rich chocolate royale ones and then stick it in freezer and hour before you want it, it's not to bad, kinda like a milk shake:) -
From what I have heard it pretty much depends on day and the person reviewing your case whether or not you get approved, but all the posts I've read for tricare west I have heard of people getting the surgery on that alone, I am tricare North and going to my seminar on monday and then I can make an appointment with the surgeon so if I get any good news I'll let you know. By the way I am in exactly the same boat 40BMi no problems except back pain but they don;t care about that. So I am hoping for a miracle I don;t usully have good luck dealing with tricare

Hello! I have a referral to see dr bell, I have to go to the seminar on the 14th, just wanted to know if you had any advice for me, and to see if everything was still going well with your band.

I am really sorry this is happening to you, but I am sure everything will work out. By saying that a bypass will take care of the problem what does that mean exactly? Like you will have pain because of the erosion unless you get a bypass? SOrry for the questions I haven't had the surgery yet so I am just curious about what it means exactly to have an erosion and what it will permanently mean for u.

Your body needs fuel to work on if you eat to little your body goes into starvation mode and will hold on to everything you eat and store it as fat because it thinks you are starving, thats why you can eat 600 calories a day and workout and not lose any weight. Drinking a Protein shake or adding a little extra lean chicken or fish on days you workout will help keep your metabolism up so you burn calories, and if you are only eating a couple hundred calories and you are losing weight it's probably because you are losing your muscle mass, which is not good because your muscle helps you burn calories.

I'm so glad you posted that!! I'm going to try and get a refferal wednesday from my pcm and I am the same weight height and bmi as you , I don't have high blood pressure but I have had back problems for like 6 years and taking anti depressants for 5 years so hopefully that will help. You gave me some hope anyway:) Good luck and congrats! -
Hi everyone I'm just starting this process and hopefully I can get some where with it! I'm going to the dr next week and I pray he will at least submit a referral to talk to a surgeon. I'm 5'5, 5'6 I weigh about 240 dpending on the time of day I have back problems and depression from it but I don't know about anything else. I've been over weight since I was like 5 years old and have never been able to get my weight down for very long. I have a terrible family history of Diabetes, Stroke, Heart Attacks, Congestive Heart Failure, Sleep Apnea so I'm hoping maybe that will have some impact on there decision. I think my BMI is 38.7. Any advice or anyone have a similar situation??
