I have struggled with weight all my life...from the time I was 4, my mother fed me cheese, mayonnaise and lettuce sandwiches as a 'bed time snack' and later criticized me relentlessly for not being thin enough. I have tried Weight Watchers several times (with some success, although fleeting), Diet Center, and various other programs. I have felt like I am fighting a losing battle, and needed to get some control of my weight into my life. Over the last several years my right knee has also become quite arthritic and will at some point need replacement. I view having this procedure not only as a way to address my weight but also my join health.
Post-surgery nearly one year, I have not lost all the weight I wanted, but it is an evolving process. I am happier, I am healthier, I look better, feel better. I have not regretted one minute of my decision, ever.
