Tomorrow is the big day! I am nervous, excited and scared!!! I keep asking myself all the "what-if's". What if something happens and he can't put the band in? What if he puts it in but it doesn't work the way it's suppose to? What if I fail at this just like every other weight loss plan I've tried? What if I stay fat forever???

I have struggled with my weight for years...putting on a pound or two here, three or four pounds there. Before I knew it, my kids were grown, I was in an unhappy marriage and I was FAT! I learned to cut the apron strings, got a divorce, met the love of my life and decided that if I am going to be around to grow old with ANYBODY, I have to lose weight. I have tried everything over the years but nothing ever lasted. I would always lose 5 or 10 lbs but then I would gain it back...and then some. I was diagnosed with high BP 3 or 4 years ago but I wrote it off as "family history". When I was diagnosed with "pre-diabetes" two years ago, I was worried but once again told myself it's in my genes so oh well! Two months ago my doctor told me I have progressed to diabetes and need to go on medication. Not insulin...YET! Then he started talking about all the complications that occur with diabetes and that if I didn't do something, I would not be growing old period, much less with the man I love. So...I started searching weight loss programs and came across an article about lap-band surgery. After much research and attending a seminar, I decided that something drastic was needed and lap-band surgery was it! I have my surgery tomorrow and can't wait to share my experiences. Wish me luck!!!
