I'm actually not a lap band patient, but my husband just had Realize Lap Band done yesterday, June 2nd 2010. According to the BMI calculator it says that I am obese. I am definitely overweight for sure. 5 feet 7 inches and i weigh 190 lbs.  My first step by being on here is to help him through his journey and help myself loose weight in the process hoping to rely on diet and exercise. My husband has insulin resistance and needed to have the banding done.  I'm not officially a lap band candidate according to doctors, so I'm trying to loose the weight on my own. Most of which I carry in my stomach. So I am hoping by being on here, I can help my husband, and myself at the same time.  I'm looking forward to meeting people on here, hear the stories, and share good advice.
