I have only had the super sleeve (gastric plication) done. I am doing wonderful! I dont think you will have to have any other wls if you get the VSP or the VSG. They both are great. Thank you Tiff for always sharing with us! Without you I am not sure where I would be right now.. Your emails helped me to make the choice to go a head with the wls. Even though you have the VSG and I have the Super Sleeve I always enjoy reading your posts. You are such an amazing women and I am so happy for you!

HEY everyone! I just wanted to do an update since the last time I posted. I’m 23 (I'll be 24 in May). I had my Super Sleeve done in July and it is now Jan. I have gone from a size 16 (highest size being 20) and now I am a size 4/6. I didn't even think it was possible for me to get this small. The smallest I ever was in high school was a size 8 and that was short lived since I only lost the weight from having my wisdom teeth taken out and then as soon as I was healed I had my tonsils taken out. You have no idea how much it means to me to have others on there to talk to that know what I am dealing with and are willing to support me even though you have never meet me!

Why did we start using that.. So does it just mean the victory like things we can do now?

I'm so happy for you! I'm glad you are doing so well. I almost went for the lap band and I'm so grateful that I went with the super sleeve.

Don't worry! You ar doing awesome! I know it is hard to watch the scale move slower than you hopes but I promise you are doing great!

I love mine! As you can see below I have already hit goal after only 5 months!!!! I have gone from my highest of size 20 to now I'm a 4/6. I think my super sleeve and the vsg control hunger the same. At least it does for me and the vsg stories I read. I have gotten sick but once was from having two drinks and I got black out sick drunk. If you haven't been told with our new stomach we get drunk faster. Another time was when I ate too fast and too much. My stomach was already upset and couldnt handle it. But both have been in the last month. I have only gotten sick from testing the waters.

1.) getting on wii fit and not hearing "your obese" 2.) going on a date and no having to worry if I am eating too much 3.) I want to learn how to rock wall climb 4.) not being to big friend 5.) buying clothes any where And my final hope is to just love myself and be happy in my own skin! I want to hear "I never would have guessed you use to be big" I want to be called small when someone is explaining what I look like.

Thank you so much! I'm glad I did It too. I know I'm young but my sister waited til her 40s to have her's and she told me if she had known she wouldn't have waited. I honestly thought the smallest I could get was an 8 so the fact that I'm wearing a 4 seems like a dream!

I loved Dr. Rod!! I would tell anyone and everyone to go to him! I have a blog post that had info I can send you. The hospital is like a resort and the staff is amazing! I know a very limited amount of Spanish but I just used the list they gave me. I would point to what I wanted in English and they would look on the other side to read it in Spanish. My main issue was gas pain so Gas-X and a heating pad were my bestfriends. When I was in pain the gas-x was amazing at getting that gas pain to go away. If there is anything else you want to know feel free to email me!

I'm not sure if it is the same but I was told it would be since the folded side is cut off to the rest of my body. I have been having issues eating since I got sick two weeks ago. Before I wanted to eat when it was time to eat but now I have no want. So I'm assuming I don't have that hunger drive either since my want for food is driven by mind instead of hunger. I have been having to make myself eat cuz when I looked back at what I was eating from just eating when I felt like it; I found I was only eating 300 cals. Now drinking on the other hand I have a want for that but that is mainly Water. Since this started two weeks ago I have gone from 136 to 132..

Hey! I'm 23 Years old and I got my super sleeve July 2010. I have gone from my highest of size 20 to now size 6! Okay I know this is silly but I was hanging out with some friends the other night. One of my old guy friends was teasing me and picked me up like a bag of potatos! I have never had someone do that to me. I always wished I was small enough of a guy to do that without thinking. I know it is silly but it just made me feel good about myself. I am not sure about everyone else but I have to remind myself that I'm small. It almost seems like a dream.
