Hey, i wasexactly the same i could eat everything and after a meal a few hours later id be hungry again, sounds like you need a fill i have only had 2 fills and now i feel like there is a real restriction now bread rice meat is a no no was filled on 18th july and ive lost about 21lbs since my fills. But before my fill i was stuck at the same weight for around 2months , dont worry you'll soon be on your way again :)

I know exactly how you feel it is so hard when i wake up i think of food and through out the day still i was banded in Dec and this is such a mental challange but am gettin there. My pre op was 4 weeks long and boy was it hard all i kept thinkin if you do this for so long and decide 2 eat something bad it could just be out the window just for my own stupidity as i had 2 shrink my liver i was told by the surgeon if i didnt he wouldnt operate. Just think of how great your goin to look this is gonna be a very long task not just a quick fix like i thought i would have it and that would be it but boy was i wrong its in the mind even when am not hungry. When i 1st done my pre op it was so strict i felt so ill migraine and dizzyness from the lack of food. YOu can and will get there am down 61lbs and 30 of that was on my pre op i wish you the best of luck )

I was banded yesterday to the pain is awful lik trapped wind wont go no matter how much i belch or walk hope it doesn't last 2 long good luck

You can do it , just keep thinking how much this is going to benefit you and just think if you eat things you shouldn't containing fat it could affect your op, as if we dont follow the diet strictly here 2 shrink the liver they start surgery see the liver is enlarged and abandon surgery thats what keeps me going ) . Im on my 5th and final week of my pre op diet due for surgery next tues 14th, i just have to stay focused till then, your body gradually gets use to the lack of food i had migraines for days, a grumpy moo for days lol god help ppl around me and starving was totally the word for me haha! By about the 4th day my stomach had shrunk a little and it got easier the hardest part for me is preparing my childrens dinner knowing i cant have none. I have lost 19kilo's on my pre op 40lbs which has shocked me as i really didnt think i could do this, i wish you the best of luck

Im just about to start my liquid diet 2nd time round tomorrow soooo not lookin forward to doing it all again have to do it for as from 2morrow till dec 14th. My op had 2 be rescheduled previously as i had an abnormal heart beat and i was 3days away from my surgery id lost 28lbs so it sure works. Best of luck to you, you'll be just fine when i was really hungry just drank lots of water 2 help fill me :smile2:

It feels so far but am sure it will come around quicker than we think, am due to be banded December the 14th, good luck hope it all goes well :cursing:)

I have got my date for my op 14th of Dec 2nd time round time to start my pre op next week for the 2nd time round. Which i can say im not looking forward to as i struggled through it but done it lost 28lbs but 3 days before my op i got told my op would have to be put on hold due to a abnormal heart beat and that id have to see a cardiologist, well thats all been cleared and my op seems like its just around the corner, but yet so long away if that makes any sense? I just hope everything will go smoothly this time round as it was so heart wrenching to be told i could have it when i was so close and after doing my 4weeks pre op diet. Well i have my fingers tightly crossed and am looking forward to the start of a long and happy future just in time for a new year :thumbup:

Hi am from the uk and gettin banding in 2weeks 1st person ive ever seen on her from the uk am getting my band on the nhs too cant wait, be nice to have someone to go through this with from the uk, Rachel x

I need help am only day 6 into my pre op diet, i have 4 weeks in total i was goin to do the slim fast meal replacement and a balanced meal in the evening, but i just cant drink the slim fast it makes me heave and i cant drink it as am gonna be sick the smell and the taste i cant stand ive tried choc, straw and lemon merangie. I can do the milk and yogurt diet which is 1pint of skimmed milk and 8-10 yogurts low fat ones but i just think im gonna be beyond starving and im gonna find it hard making the kids tea this is gonna be harder than i thought. If you have any words of advice id appreciate it please..... i no this aint gonna be a quick fix to my brain or anythin and if you aint got anythin worth me readin thats gonna help dont write thanks

Hey good luck, and well done for just going through with it your right why wait for his approval if he thinks its for lazy people i woodnt even tell him after haha but thats just me let him think you done it with out the band thats what im gonna do with my friends as only my partner n close family know. You have your mums support to help you with the nerves so you go girl am sure he wont be complain as your body starts to change lol. All the best hope to here how you get on Rachel x

Got my surgery date yesterday, so happy its moved so quick considering am in the UK. Guess i have to start my pre op diet like now, worst part is im goin camping mon and they supply the food lets hope its gonna be healthy. Ill just throw myself into the diet for real the following week with slim fast and the milk and yogurt diet :tt2: Im not scared at all just ready for this great chance to make a new me :smile:

Nothing to be ashamed about ive been trying for years to loose weight just wont shift had the tablets of the doctor, so now i have just been agreed for the funding of the band at age 24. Your trying to make a better life for yourself and your future thats how i see it!

Thats brilliant info thanks am in Birmingham in the Uk. I dont know why but have a really bad feeling there gonna say no when i go even tho i have been accepted for the funding, i dont know if its just because ive been tryin to loose weight for years tried so many diets excercise swimming and nothing has worked has Reductil and Orlistat and most i lost was 6lbs in 4months with the slimming world diet and tablets. I guess i just worry to much i will do anything they ask to prep me or my body for this op

I had a later saying my band will be funded last week and my doctor said i will here from Birmingham within 4weeks if not before, I just have so many questions goin round in my head and want some answer of you guys that know and have been here:rolleyes2:. 1. What is all the pre op preparation?(what happens 1st appointment?) 2. what is the pre op diet? 3. Do you have to prove you can loose weight before the op is agreed? 4. when does the liquid diet start? Any info is much appreciated thanks guys:thumbup:
