Last night the hubby and I went to TGIFridays for dinner..I ordered pasta with grilled chicken with some kinda garlic and tomato on it. I probably ate about 1/2 to 3/4 of a cup which is normal for me. Well the question is this, I bring the rest home for lunch today and I just take one bite and it will not go down. This has happened several times. Sometimes things will go down and sometimes the same foods just will not. Is this happening to anyone else? There are times I have to eat Special K cereal for dinner because what we are having just will not go down but I can eat a whole bowl full of the cereal instead so Im not filled to tight.

I drink AMP 60 from GNC its a little pricey but its wonderful..Add ice and a little coffee and its like having a dessert. 60 grams of protein with 12 ounces of skim milk is 72 ounces of protein, By the way for those that are interested the fat count is 1g, the calories are 370.

Im 7 mos out and I still can't eat chicken..Too tight ? I think not, I can eat 3 ounces of sirloin and a quarter cup of potatoes in one sitting. Everybodys banding is diffferent. Am I gonna complain about it? Nope thats just one less thing I have to worry about over eating on..LOL Sure wish my band couldn't tolerate cheetos..LOL

disneymom my nutritionist said the same thing 3oz. of protein, 1/2 cup of veggies, and 1/4 cup of carbs. Mine said to eat 3 meals each day and no snacking in between. Question?...Thats 9oz of protein per day. How do we get 60 grams of protein in 9 oz.? Question 2..Where does the fruit come in? Is it off limits? I sure hope your nutritionist explained it to you so you can tell me. LOL..ps Ive been drinking protein shakes in between meals.

I like the new paper cartons that the Atkins shakes come in. I dont like the cans.I keep them in the fridge at work and have them on my break for in between meal Snacks. Question.. do the Premeir at costco come in cartons or cans?

No dont have a full stomach they told me not to eat or drink anything for at least 5 hours before a fill.. Call and check that one with your doctor.

Ive been filled and unfilled and filled again it has never hurt more than just a twinge.I have alot of belly fat so it was hard the first fill.He tried twice missed and then I went to the hospital the next day for xray and he got it first try. Then I got sick and had to have most of it taken out for a couple of weeks and when he did that in the office he got it first try ( I had went down 3 pants sizes by then). Now Im better and filled back up. Word of advice, I was trying to suck my belly in thinking he could reach it better.NO, not the case!! push out on your stomach. It pushes the port closer to him. I was able to feel him hit the port with the needle. I knew when he was in. You feel a little thump.Good luck and Im glad you got your answer here and not through past post that you had to search for.

I was banded July 14th..I lost 20 pounds by the end of July. 23 more pounds by the end of September. I have not lost since then. Im up a pound down a pound for 3 and a half months. Every month I go to my support meeting and they tell me this is a three part journey. One part lapband, one part diet and one part exercise. My band is working I can not over eat anymore or go for seconds or really even eat a whole plate of food. My problem is my diet and exercise. The same problems I had before being banded. I dont take the time to plan my meals ( I dont know what to plan) and I dont take time to exercise. Somebody tell me what to do..LOL..The doctor and the nutritionist help you til you get through the first stages then they kinda drop you. I think I need a band partner. By the way, I was a member of curves a few years ago and loved it. Im gonna go Monday morning and rejoin.

wow I had surgery July 14the and Im only down 43 pds..You guys let us in on the secret. What are you eating and how much are you exercising? I had 1 fill but he took a tiny bit out cause I kept sliming and throwing up. now Im eating normally just less. But the weight is just creeping off. What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like swelling to me too.. if im stuck nothing goes down, not even liquids. try drinking something warm. like some hot tea or coffee that sometimes reduces the swelling and loosens the band.

Yes I love my Wii ...I use the Wii fit and the biggest loser fit on my Wii..Since I started Thanksgiving Day Ive not noticed that much of a difference in the scales but my clothes have gotten a lot looser on me since then.

Hardees and Burger King both make low carb burgers. I ask for a fork and have eaten them for lunch a few times along with an unsweet tea and felt like I was in heaven. LOL

Has anyone besides me noticed their hands twitching since surgery? The first few months it was real suddle then the twitches got worse. Now in the last month I've noticed I'm dropping things when it happens. It doesn't happen very often maybe a few times a week. I've dropped 3 bowls, broke one. I've dropped papers, none of this happened before my surgery.

Got my first unfill due to sickness last tuesday. He took out 2 ccs and i think im gonna tell him to put only 1 cc back. I can finally eat without the PBing and it feels good. I still feel full when i eat a little bit, just not as soon as id like to feel full. Guess Im searching for the sweet spot.

Im with Amanda its still to early to tell..I'd give it a few more days.

I have the same thing and my doc told me it was scar tissue, mine has an indention also...my port is about an inch lower than my large incision.

I was banded july 14th and you and i are living the same life. Well unti this past tuesday, my grandaughter got me sick (throwing up sinus drainage) so my doc took some fluid out for 2 weeks til i get the cold better. Im really thinking i should ask him not to put all of the 2cc's back that he removed. right now im eating, no throwing up and im scared im gonna gain.

It took me 10 days til I was feeling like my old self again.

What about when you are sick? I got sick from my granddaughter last friday.Ive had fever, chills, sore throat, and no voice but mainly since saturday Ive not been able to keep anything down not even grits. I was gonna call the doc this morning and then i read this post and thought maybe the stress from being sick was doing this.

OMG this post has brought tears to my eyes..I have never heard this before and I thought I was going crazy.. or sabatoging myself or something..It all makes since now. i couldnt understand why one day i could eat something and then a couple of days later id try to eat the same thing and it just wouldnt go down. Its because the second time id had a stressfull day at work thats why...THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!

I was also banded in July of this year and mine just stopped itching for the first time in november. I tried every healing or medicated lotion i could find and actually i think it was the Olay in the purple bottle that was the last I tried and it stopped itching. It was a long 4 months.lol

Best of luck to you..Hope you get some relief soon..I have had only one fill and Im not sure its too tight but I sure cant go any tighter. Its a scarey feeling.
