I have a desk job too. I took 2 1/2 weeks, I could have gone back in 1 week, but figured I'd milk it for as long as I could and my doctor basically let me decide when I wanted to return to work.:blushing:

My port was placed slightly above and to the right of my belly button, at my largest incision. Prior to my 1st follow-up I was concerned bcuz I could not feel it beneath the incision. I thought it must have tilted or flipped. Come to find out it is about 2-3 inches above the largest incision. The doc assured me that tilting & flipping was extremely rare. He also explained how we are lying down when they implant the port and that everything shifts slightly when you stand-up which is why it seems to have moved. Now that I know where it is I can easily locate it but only when I'm standing.

6 weeks post-op, 45lbs.

No fill. Doc said I didnt need it bcuz I had good weight loss. I have mixed feelings about it, relieved yet disappointed.

I was obsessed with the scale for 2 months pre-op and a few weeks post-op. I would get on it 3-4 times a day. Once I realized I was making myself crazy I put the scale up in the cabinet and now I take it out on friday mornings only.

I had to have a BMI over 40 & lose 5% of my total weight (14lbs) pre-op before they would approve my surgery. I ended up losing 30lbs in those 2 months. I had a clear liquid diet for 3 days pre-op.

I was a couple weeks post-op before I tried rice. At first I tried to eat it by itself and I got stuck. About a week later I tried it again slower & mixed with veggies and didnt have any problem.

I did the barium swallow within an hour after surgery.

1st fill 2mrw!!!!
