I was a skinny kid until after my first son.  I weighed 130 lbs the day he was delivered.5 weeks later when I returned for my post op  check I weighed 108 lbs and two months later 115 lbs.  No one not even me gave thought to how much weight I was putting on.By the time the child was a year old I weighed 130 lbs. At 5ft 6 1/2 inches and twenty-one years old That should not have been a problem, except I'd never weighed 100 lbs and held it for morethan  a week or two.  Later that same year I was in a size 18 dress.  I later loss the weight and kept it off for about 3 years then my second son was born. Loss more weight during the pregnacyBut, then went from a size 8 to an 18 in 1 year.  Stayed there for about 10 years then went explosive. from 1986 to 2006 I carried around more than 100 lbs of extra weight.  After my PCP informed me of having metabolic syndrome I decided to try yet another diet.  This time I would take up dancing and sign upfor one of those home delivery meal plans.  After about a year I'd loss 45 lbs then had an accident.  Long story short. pain, Lack of exercise, depression and the comfort of my old friend(food) I found my 45 lbs and added more. In 2008 I began looking at lap banding info. Found a meeting at a local hospital and was hooked.  I didn't loose my first 80 lbs using my tool.But now that I'm well again I will lose the last 48 lbs using the lap band, support groups, books, journaling and renewal of my mind to become healthy and stay healthy for the rest of my life.
