    Night before surgery

so i guess this whole pre-op diet thing works, as of this morning I am down 8lbs, I know that is probaby all water weight but for this only being my 4th day on liquids it feels good!!!
  2. I received my approval letter today!! I met with the surgeon on May 24th and the approval letter is dated May 27th. I so excited, my surgery date is scheduled for June 17th. My insurance is Oxford. I've have been on liquids for 3 days now and have lost 5lbs already. Good luck to all those still waiting for their approval.
  3. Hi Everyone, I start my pre-op diet today and wanted to know if there was anyone that exercised while on their pre-op diet? I figure if I won't be able to work-out for 6 weeks after surgery I should go now; not to mention I may lose more weight and it may keep my mind off eating! Is this ok or will I not have the energy to put into a work out?

How to get the ticker in your signature This may seem like a lot but it' honestly pretty easy and doesn't take long at all. Let me know if you have any issues. If you want a weight tracker in your signature * Go to http://tickerfactory.com/ezticker/ticker_designer.php?type=3 and select weight loss link. * Choose the ruler design (several pages of designs), then press next * Choose your ticker slider, and then press next * Complete your personal info, this pin/password is important because it allows you to change your update your info on the site. You don’t have to complete the measurements section unless you want to. * Click the link that shows up with ticker web address; make sure you bookmark that page so that you can update your weight. If you want to update your weight go back to the bookmark and update it, no need to change your signature on the LAP-BAND® site it will automatically update when you change it on the ticker site. * Scroll down copy the entire link that is in the section titled bbCode * Go to your profile on lapbandtalk and click on the “User CP” tab. * In the control panel select “Edit Signature” * In the text box you can pretty much type anything you want, make sure you paste the code from your ticker page here also. * Save signature, you can preview it first if you want to check that it looks good before you save. That’s it!! Now if you want to have your signature show up in your post go to the “Edit Options” link located under the edit signature link. * Stroll down to Thread Display Options and check the box that says “show signatures” and save changes Hope this helps!

Good luck I'm sure you will be fine! But you make total sense, I start my pre-op diet today and anxiety had me up at 4am. I have no idea what the day will be like but I hoping these 2 weeks go by quickly and I can finally have the tool I need to get to a healthy weight! We are all here to support you and can't wait to see you succeed.
  6. Awww thanks! You are too... I'm the pretty girl stuck in the fat girls body!!

  7. Lol, that sounds like something my boyfriend would say!
  8. LOL, oh man Pizza!! Yeah they said the dough plugs the stoma and you eventrually throw up because of discomfort. I think I may have that for dinner!!! We should definitely be banded sisters! lol, I'm Natoya, nice to meet you too.

How do you get your photo in your profile? I can't seem to get it to publish for the life of me.

Also when do you go in for pre-admission testing?

  9. You know what's funny, I find myself eating things not from hunger but from thinking (knowing) that I may not be able to eat them again. It's so sad! I never knew I had this type of relationship with food... I don't know if I have quite excepted the fact that I have to go on liquids starting thursday! The anesthesia is probably the least of my worries right now, I think we'll be fine in that aspect so don't worry yourself too much.

Dr. Fielding is not my doctor but he's pretty popular! I've heard he's one of the best! My doctor is Dr. Kurian. I like her she's nice and has a lot of experience in laporscopic surgery so I put my life in her hands. (Damn, that was a little tough to say) lol.

Do you know which band you will have Lapband or Realize band?

    Any June Bandsters???

Hi everyone, This is my first post on the site! I am scheduled for surgery on June 17th (pending approval) with Dr. Kurian at NYU Lagone and I am so anxious and nervous. I start my pre-op diet this Thursday June 3rd and I find myself getting sad over this whole liquid diet situation! I've bought some items already as a trial basis to see what I like and don't like as far as protein shakes but I think more of my anxiety is coming from the fact that I feel that I is all happening so fast (not complaining because I've been FAT for way too long now). I'm just a little concerned because I have to start the pre-op diet without actually having insurance approval. My pre-admission testing is also scheduled for the 3rd so I honestly feel that there is a lot going on right now. I don't really see any reason why my insurance would deny me since I fall under the criteria of morbidly obese but you just never know! Any way I've been trying to mentally prepare myself to start and I am extremely excited to have chosen this procedure as I feel that this as a way for me to take control of my eating habits and weight! Good luck to all the June Bandsters, much success on your journey and I look forward to reading about your successes.
