I'm being banded on June 14th, 2010 and I have so many emotions about it! I am 23-years-old and being a vegetarian for the last twelve years has taken a drastic toll on my body that I am finally correcting (probably while still being a vegetarian) I've always been one of those vegetarians that will eat what I can get, and since I like to eat out a lot thats usually a lot of unhealthy food. My doctor recently told me I was low on Protein, Calcium, Vitamin D, Vitamin B1 and B12, Iron, and a few important other things. Basically it was start taking better care and making better choices of the food I put in my mouth or else! I'm not just getting banded because I want to lose weight, i'm doing it because I made the choice that I need to make a permanent diet change and make my body and eating habits a priority. I know I have a long road ahead of me, but I know I can do this and I am looking forward to be a much healthier (and of course smaller) me!
