I have been struggling with my weight since age 13. I was never obese as a child, just chubby. My weight became an issue around age 20. I was not as active after high school. I was going out with friends a lot and eating awful food way too late at night. I went from being 160 pounds to over 300 within 5 years. I have attempted pretty much every "diet" there is. I finally realized that going on a "diet" is not the solution.I attended a seminar for Bariatric Surgery about a year ago. I was all set to start the process and have the procedure done. The more I thought about the procedure, the more my fear level rised. I decided to attempt losing weight on my own one more time. Here I sit a year later, and not one pound has moved from my body. I have been losing and regaining the same 10 pounds for a year. I am so frustrated and tired of living a limited life.I have changed jobs since the seminar. So, I have better insurance now. I found out that I do have bariatric coverage, there is just some criteria I have to meet. So, I am waiting on that paperwork to arrive in the mail to see what I have to do. I have a feeling that I am going to have to give Weight Watchers or a similar program a try for 6 months before I am approved for the surgery. :/I will keep you all posted!!!
