  1. Happy 30th Birthday farmgirlatheart!

  2. I wasnt ignoring your post! I totally suck at going on my own profile lol! I read this at the perfect time though. I am ready to amp things up. I've had two fills, but now instead of pizza im struggling with eating past the feeling of being full. How are you doing on fills. do you feel hungry? cuz i definitely do! stupid old habits are sneaking back up!

  3. Hello, I am also a June bug and read your post about making bad choices and pizza. I honeslty almost hit the floor bc I too am having the same problem with myself and pizza, AHHHHHH. Funny thing is, our weights are almost identical. And yes I do think that 30 pounds in 2 months is great. I need motivation as well, I feel like I am just accepting the slow weight loss. I need a wake up call now. I get so mad at myself too when I slip and eat something bad, that I think go ahead and eat a little more. My spiral needs to stop and I need to work harder. just thought I would share.

  4. Hello so good to hear from you. I am feeling much better today than I have beeen. The last couple of days I really had bad shoulder and neck pain, but I think I am seeing less and less of it each day. I am on pureed food now and boy does it taste like heaven. I can only eat well sip about 1/4 cup and then I get full. The hardest part for me is getting in enough water. I sip and sip all day but it still seems like I can get it all in. Overall very happy that I am now in Band land. Yah!!!

  5. Yes Today I am starting to feel more like myself. I am still having some shoulder and neck pain and my incisions are itching too. I am on pureed food now and boy does it taste sooooo good!! LOL I was worried at first but now I am learning to just go with the flow. I dont go back to work until next week so hopefully I will master everything by then. So glad to hear from you, and yes we are in band land now!!!

  6. Hi. surgery went well, I had to stay over night, some kind of Medicare rule... but that was not too bad... I do not have any strange pains, but the GAS is the worst for me... the incisions are getting itchy, which is good, means they are healing, but hard not to scratch... but all in all things are going good, are you still on liquids for the first week??? I am, found a small food processor for next two weeks with the pureed foods... it is one used to make baby food...lol (baby food at my age)...

congrats we are on our way!!!!!!!

  7. Hi! How are you feeling?!! I am actually feeling pretty good-the 1st day and yesterday were rough but today is much easier. I cant wait to be able to actually eat-lol. Are you getting the shoulder pains? I am-much more than the actual incision pain. Hope u are doing well!

    Any June Bandsters???

My big day is tomorrow as well. I am a little nervous but really excited as well. I have been on my liquid diet for 2 weeks now and today is all clears. I am ready to be in band land, and I hope that everyone having their surgery tomorrow makes a speedy recovery. YAH!!!!
  9. Good luck!! My surgery is the 14th. I'd love to know how you're doing post op!

  10. I am doing good actually. The hunger pains are not nearly as intense as they were in the beginning. I am getting anxious about the surgery though. Wishing that it was over and that everything went fine, you know I have little butterflies in my stomach but I am ready. What about you, how are you doing/feeling.

  11. How are you doing??The countdown begins:)

  12. Hello new band buddy. May is gone and our band dates are coming up!!! Yah

Pre-op Diet ... Not losing much weight??

First off I think you are being way too hard on yourself. The last week for me has been very intense, but I know that no matter if I cheat, if I dont lose exactly what I want to, or if I am feeling sick and scared of what happens after the lap band, I am still moving forward. And you will too. I dont know exactly how much weight I have lost b/c I am scared to get on the scale. I was going to wait until I went in for surgery and get weighed there. Also I have talked to alot of people who I work with and have had the band for months. They all say that the hardest part is the pre-op diet. That things will change (for the positive) after you get the lap band. None of them have regretted their decesions and I know that you wont either. You wanted this for a reason, now do me a favor and close your eyes and think really hard. If you can see yourself in 6 months from now feeling better and looking better (than get the band). If you see yourself the same as now doubting the lap band and the whole procedure pre and post op, than dont get the band. The choice is your:thumbup:. You have to decide and make it happen. Good luck to you, and just think only 4 more days until your big day. Oh one other thing. I have came to the conclusin that this whole process will be challenging and that my weight will not be gone overnight. This has been hard for me to except b/c I want my weight gone like 10 years ago. But I am willing to have things go slow b/c I know that in a year from now or even 2, that my health will be so much better and that I will be able to run with my kids instead of watching them run. Emily
