I've tried to lose weight with several diets along with excerising for a long time. My diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol along with back pain and knee pain where really starting to worry/bother me. So I decided to have the surgery. I had all the test done without any problems and was scheduled for February 24, 2009. I thought the surgery would be very painful but I was surprised that it was not and I was ready to get up and start moving around the same day. I had to stay 1 night in the hospital because I use a CPAP machine but because of an allergic reaction to the pain medication "delotid" I had to stay an extra day. I was released after 2 days and when I got home there still was not alot of pain just a little. I started losing the weight right away. My biggest worry was that I was not getting enough protein, but after awhile that was not a problem either. I had my first fill on April 20th and immediately after that I started losing additional weight. I was worried that the fill would be painful but it was not. I'm scheduled for my next fill on June 7th and I'm looking forward to it because I seem to have slowed down with the weight lost. I've lost a total of 30 pounds and I feel great.
