May 19 I seriously began this journey.  May 20th it was confirmed that I was a candidate....even so I'm just on the edge of making it over the BMI AND medical conditions that my insurance deems necessary for me to have this.  So many emotions are running through me.  Failure, depression, sadness; Happiness, elation, excitement, joy.  I was diagnosed with PCOS some years ago, and it appears it's getting worse and worse the older I get....My weight is my main issue and always has been. At 123lbs. in high school I was called fat, fatty, "nice chins"....and I was 5'7 then.  My family has always been the forerunner on insults, but it didn't stop there...boyfriends, co-workers, you name it....But I am resilient and strong and the funny fat girl...so like a duck t goes right off of my back. (seemingly).
It's only just the beginning for me, I hope that when this journey comes to the cross roads of this surgery, I can enjoy the ride and take it all in stride and enjoy the results.  I have a wonderful support system (DH), and my friend is actually considering going thru this with me (she went to the info. seminar and is contemplating it).  I have told ONE other friend because I refuse to allow anyone talk me out of this or poke fun at me.  I guard myself very well...I've had some practice at this!  
I am a happy person.  I am the joker in the crowd... If it was my one and only wish in life, it wouldn't be money, it wouldn't be fame, it would be to have energy, feel sexy, and be an athlete again!
