    Exercise Today

Hi, I was banded Oct. 18th and I'm just starting to walk on my treadmill for 30 min. a day. I want to bump it up everyweek until I'm walking faster and longer. My DS is going to help me set up a program when he comes home for x-mas. I know that I want to be half as good as Telly is eventually and I will be very very happy

    October 2006 Bandsters!

Hi everyone and happy WEEKEND!! My weights been at a stand still this week but it's partly my fault, eating to much of the wrong food, even if you don't eat alot but eat the wrong things I guess it can still really effect the weight loss. I get filled Monday so this should help. I still haven't gained any so that is a big plus, I'm not depressed about it either because I know that the weight will come off. I started exercising yesterday, only did a 30 min. on the treadmill but it felt good. I'm going to a dinner theater tonight so I am going to tell myself I can do it and not go hog wild and regret it, don't want to have to try and sit through a play with food stuck in my throat now do I. I hope that everyone is dong good and will talk to you later. Lisa Banded 10/18/2006 First fill scheduled 11/13/2006

Hi Everyon, I'm glad that we have this Ohio section also. It's good to know that there are people close by that are going through the same thing as you are. Debbie, I think Dr. Shumacher is the greatest, he is so informative and I like his staff also, Jarred is also very helpful. Once they sent everything into the insurance it took about 3 wks. for the approval. I went in the hospital Wed. morning for surgery and left Thursday around 3 o'clock. The first day was a little uncomfortable but it got better each day. I went back to work on the following monday, I work in a manufacturing place, I don't have a sit down job, the first night back seemed so long but I was able to do it with no problem. I heard about Dr. Shu through the Dayton paper. I am not as hungery as before but I have been eating regular foods for about 1 wk and my will power is starting to falter. If I eat to much there is a pressure at the top of my stomach and I belch more. SO this makes me not eat to much. macdeb59- way to go. doesn't it feel awsome to be losing weight without struggling so much. Are you scheduled for a fill anytime soon? I go Monday and I'll let everyong know how is went. Lisa Banded 10/18/2006 First fill scheduled 11/13/2006

Hi I was banded Oct.18th at Sycamore Hospital in Centerville. Dr. Shuemacher was my doctor and I started the process July 20th. I have lost 13# so far. My insurance is Anthem Blue cross blue shield. The Dr. office told me that my insurance was one of the best ones for approving weight loss surgeries. Oh and I live north of Cinci about an hour and a half away. Good luck to all of you, I really do fill that this is going to work.:clap2: Lisa Banded 10/18/06 First fill scheduled 11/13/06

    October 2006 Bandsters!

Hi, my name is Lisa and I was banded Oct.18th. I have lost 13# so far and I get my first fill Nov. 13th. I had my surgery on Wed. and went back to work on the following Monday. The first night was a little hard then I was ok after that. I have been eating regular foods for a week and I'm a little nervious because I don't have any restriction with the band yet. My Doctor told me that I would once I have my first fill. I hope so because I don't know how much longer my will power can hold out. Raynie, I had the same kind of pain you were talking about and I got worried, thinking that my band had slipped. I called the Dr. and he told me that it sounded like it was gas, he told me to walk more and to take gas-X, it worked and I haven't had it since. I am excited, nervious and also looking forward to what this next year will bring. It is going to be an awsome year and I know that this is going this is going to work.
