Ok, here I go...I guess this creation of my official lapband story makes it "for real". I have officially decided that 05/17/2010 (my first appointment regarding the discussion of weight loss options with my family doctor) is the beginning of my weight loss journey. I am both excited and afraid but I am more afraid of continuing down this road of high blood pressure, sleep apnea and panic attacks. Let me start by telling you about me. I was very active in high school, varsity cheerleader, band, flag team, an many other activities. I went to college and stayed pretty fit and trim. I then moved away and started a family and my weight went up and down for many years. I have aways been able to maintain and move upward in all of the positions I have held throughout my employment. I have been with the same law firm for 11 years as a parlegal. I have 2 wonderful children and just went through a very long divorce after 27 years. I am now dating a man 6 years younger and have definitely been blessed by his kindness to both myself and my children. I want to spend many years with him, my kids and my family so I know that making the choice to have lapband surgery is the best thing for me. I know that the changes in me after surgery will bring many highs and lows ...some that I may not like and some that I can only imagine the feel of success. I ask that you follow me on my journey - I make these promises to YOU: Honesty, Committment and Faith in GOD!!!!My Motto.........If you believe you receive...If you doubt you do without!!!!!Nancy
