Sounds strange huh? Well I've been over filled for the past 6 weeks and had to resort to eating Soup, soup and nothing but soup. Every time I would try a solid I'd slime and vomit. It go to a point where I got so depressed I'd dream of real food. Granted I was loosing a good amount of weight but thats not the reason I got the band to ONLY eat soup or liquids. Needless to say I got a whopping 2cc's removed today. My Doc said my previous restriction level was perfect, I said sure if ALL I wanted was SOUP!!! He was willing to unfill me did it under Fluro so he knew how much to take out, I felt immediate relief. It was like a weight was lifted off my chest. I really didnt realize that for 6 weeks I was living with this tightness in my chest and constand slimage in the back of my throat. I can eat now and not be scared. I am concerned about weight loss slowing down or stopping so I just need to be more mindfull of what actually goes in my mouth now. No more high calorie Soups just to meet my daily calorie intake. I feel good now

i too was too tight for 6 weeks... Dont wait to get an unfill no reason to live in that misery.

Actually I just got a very ordinary link bracelet and I get my charms from Wal-Mart, the Mall or pick em up where ever I see one I like.. I actually got the bracelet from e-bay

It's a bracelet that I have I add a charm for every 10lbs lost...it's sterling silver and I have so much fun picking out my charms cant wait to fill it up!!!

I have one and wear it everyday... In case of an emergency and I am unable to communicate I would want the doctors to know I have the band... Some say it's not nessesary but I feel it is so yes I have one...It's on my weight loss charm bracelet.

My children are 9&7 and yes they know....They knew I was going into surgery and for why they even prayed for me so precious...

I tell anyone who will listen about my Lap Band...I am proud and happy that I got it...It has helped me lose 40lbs and I want the world to know...

I was banded about 7 mos ago in Aug of 2010 and have lost 37lbs so far but I am far from happy about it... Sure the 37 lbs lost is wonderful and I would never have lost it with out the band but at what cost. I can no longer eat solid foods and if I try I get stuck and vomit at least 2-4 times a day if I even attempt to eat. I am hungry almost every 1-2 hours because all I can eat is Soup or very mushy foods. I'm sure I need a slight unfill but at this point cant take the time off of work to go to Mexico to get the unfill and dont have the extra money to pay for it so I must suffer through this. If I had known that I would be living like this I dont know if I would have gotten the band I mean I'm either too tight or have ZERO restriction, I can either eat like a pig or eat next to nothing. I have fallen into a depression about this and am only trying to find an outlet to vent and get positive feed back, so if your gonna bash me for my feelings please refrain from doing so I need positive comments at this point in my journey since I feel I cant talk to my husband about this because all I'll hear from him is what a waste of money this has been and still is because all I do is vomit food and that in it's self is a waste. I plan on going to get an unfill in about a week I hope.... Wish me luck that this aleves my discomfort but weight loss still continues...

I am presently too tight so I feel the food pass through my stoma... It can be painful and down right uncomfortable

Hi all thanks for the replies... I have checked into fill centers here in the US but they cost $325 for the first consultation and $75 for a fill or unfill so all in all it is more expensive to get an fill or un fill here in the US then it is going to Mexico so it looks like the next time they have their fill schedule open I will be going granted I have an extra $100 plus gas to spend so I can feel comfertable again...

liquids flow straight through your pouch to the large stomach so no it's not likely to stretch the pouch...

Is the band working for me??? Well I am losing weight about 37lbs in the past 7 mos but at what cost... I cant eat solid foods I get stuck and vomit 2-4 times a day, I miss chewing as all I can eat is liquids. So is the band working to help me lose weight I suppose so but am I satisfied with my life NO

I feel my band tighten up around my period time...I need a slight unfill so I know how you feel dont wait get some taken out losing weight with the band shouldnt be painfull or depressing....

I dont know if I'm too tight or at proper restriction but when I eat solids all I can eat is 2-3 bites and I'm either gonna get stuck or start to slime... Its very frustrating So all I eat now is mostly Soups or mushy foods not good cuz I still love to eat

I had my last fill back in Feb. And it seems to only happen when I eat solids during the day but at night I can eat a little bit of solids... I feel that I may be to tight but am starting to loose consitantly and dont wanna stop so I'm afraid to get a slight unfill.. But due to all the sliming and throwing up I've gotten really depressed about having the lap band even tough it has helped me lose 36lbs so far... I may just need to break down and go get an unfill I really dont have the money to do that either... Cant find a happy medium here

So glad I stumbled upon this post I have been banded since August and it has been slow loosing for me. Either I'm too tight or too loose but the past 2 weeks the lbs are starting to fall off. I am starting to feel great so happy I got the band even though I'm still struggling with eating solids.

I dont think you slipped your band I think your stomach is just irritated from the episode...Just do liquids for 2-3 days and the swelling should go away...

Today is my birthday and the best gift I could get was my Lap Band that I got 7 mos ago...It has allowed me to lose 35lbs... bend over and tie my shoes...have more energy and a better out look on life!! Even though I have close to 110 lbs still to loose I FEEL GREAT!! So HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!! :Dancing_wub:

It is common for your stomach to get swollen after a stuck episode...That is why you may feel that the food is still there even though it has passed...Since I often get stuck (due to being stressed and thus being too tight) I will consume liquids for a day or 2 after to help the swelling go down....

I love sushi but can no longer eat it...I did see a you tube video about a low carb sushi that was made out of califlower looked good:

Yeah they are pretty unatrtactive.... I still go to Lane Bryant and get good fitting bras there I just went about 1 month ago and now my bras are too big again...tired of spending so much money on bras...

I recently saw an ad on the TV for the AHH Bra... Looks kinda good maybe you should try that, I want to but am so tired of spending money on bras I'm hesitant

YES AND YES!!! All normal pretty soon you'll be back to your old self again...
