I haven't tried the Designer whey protein blitz but luv luv luv Isopure i have some RTD clear kind that i am saving for the post op clear liquid stage have you tried them??? are they good???

I'm sorry that you didnt have a very productive outcome with your father. my mom in law was the same she said that SHE was able to lose lbs by cutting back bla bla bla. I then stated well since i'm not her nor will my body ever be like her's I have to do what is right for me. after trying every diet out there losing and gaining it was time for me to take the next step. i have friends who have said "that's so drastic" i just refer to my quote at the bottom of my signature "They are like slinkes not good for much....." So keep your head up do what is best for you and Good Luck...

You sound like you would be a perfect candidate for the lap band system keep doing your homework and find out as much info as you can i have really read and re-read all the post on LBT and it has helped me make my choice to go for the lap band.....Good luck

Hello... I have yet to be banded but will be getting it done on the 26th of this month i have been doing lots or research and know that there will be skin issues at least for me cuz i have a lot of weight to lose, some people dont have that problem it all depends of you what your skin is like and your age...i dont know if the insurance will pay for a tummy tuck that is something you will need to ask them The band is designed to last the rest of your life so i read but things do happen that may cause them to be removed like slippage or erosion. from what i gather erosion is not supposed to be common but does happen mostly if the band is too tight, if you vomit alot and if it has slipped and you dont do anything about it. Since i am self pay i asked my ins if for any reason i had problems with my band if they will cover a removal they said yes but not a replacement (since they dont cover lap band anyway) Hope this has helped you.. keep reading these boards and others before you really decide on the band to make sure you have all the information you need Good luck to you :mad:

You need to tell him that if he wants you around for another 26 years this is the time to get healthy and lose weight before you develop any other health issues, maybe he is just insecure and doesnt know what will happen to him once you get to your goal and feel really good about yourself for once in a long time...

OMg I have found myself watching Man vs. Food and wanna pig out!! isn't it funny how our heads play such games with us!!! time to turn off the tube!

No one can say wether your surgery will be canceled or not but what we can say is get all the documents asked for follow up follow up follow up. dont let it stress you out or some other kind of biological function may go outa whack just remember if your surgery is canceled then it was for a good reason and that's to get you healthy so you can start you new life healthy...Good luck and dont give up :thumbup:

Hello this is my first official post on lab band talk... i will be getting banded Aug 26 by Dr. Jose Rodriguez in Tijuana Mexico and am getting nervous... I have been doing a lot of reading and research and feel this is the way to go for me. I am 35 270lbs and have a BMI of 51... my insurance will not cover lap band and they want me to pay thousands of dollars for a medically supervised diet i cant afford that and dont have the will power to do it i tried it for 2 weeks and ended up cheating and wasting $300... so is anyone else getting banded come Aug?? i would luv to talk and share support :thumbup: talk to ya's soon ZEN

not that i condone smoking but why must u stop before surgery??? i dont think i have ever heard of that...

Count it a blessing and call it a day.. I can only hope for the symptoms you are describing....

i was advised to drink 1-2 oz of Fluid (water, crystal lite, Protein drinks) every 15 min...so i have a shot glass ready for when i need it next week 7 more days to go till i'm in bandland:eek:

I have Isopure RTD clear protein drinks that i plan on using as soon as i get home from surgery next week i dont think there is a time frame for protein drinks.

I was told after you are healed and the scabs fall off on their own then you can bathe or swim...

Why would you want it removed it's there to serve a purpose that is if were talking about the thing that stores fat over your stomach... it's fatty but shouldn't need to be removed i'm sure a lot of people have never even heard of the word omentum.. ha ha:unsure:

i used care credit to get my daughters teeth aligned not braces but something else. they seem to me to be a really good company and haven't given me any problems.

i will be getting the Lap band probably the 10cc depending on what size my stomach is......
