AMEN sista or bro....I luv your post!!!

YIPPIE had my unfill today of .5cc's and let me tell you I feel soooo much better. The Doctor didnt want to unfill me he said that the Fluid was flowing fine thru the band (via x-ray) and that I probably just have inflammation....I was come on I cant have inflammation for 3 whole weeks... he said that after every PB and vomiting episode the stomach gets inflamed again so, if I was PB'ing and vomiting after every time I ate then yes I would have inflammation for 3 whole weeks. I told him to take some out anyway cuz at the rate I'm at I'll never find relief... So Yippe me I am .5cc less but happier now I just need to exercise

A PB= productive burp...when you burp and food comes back out....It is different from vomiting as there is no heaving just a burp...vomiting is more traumatic for your band and that is why I needed an unfill I was vomiting after every meal not just PB'ing...

I posted this in the wrong forum so I'll repost here: As most of you know that are reading this I will be getting an unfill tomorrow after about 3 weeks of suffering being to tight. I'm so so so so scared that hunger will come back and attack me. I know that we should feel some amount of hunger, or how else would we know when to eat to survive. But I'm scared of the ravenous hunger that I used to have pre-band. Is it just me? Am I being unreasonable??? Please anyone help put my mind at ease

So I will FINALLY get an unfill this Friday but in the mean time I have resorted to eating sliders just so I can survive...here I figured the less you eat the more you lose but that is so not the case so weird.. Well wish me luck this Friday I cant wait to get some Fluid taken out sounds strange but true I am so tired of the pain, sliming and constant PB'ing/throwing up. I dont wish this feeling on my worst enemy!

I know that when you get a fill you should only have liquids for 1-2 days afterward...but do you need to do the same after an unfill? I'm gonna be getting an unfill tomorrow and since I have never had one before I was wondering if you need to do liquids afterwards....

Do you...wing it, calorie count or 3/2 it?
zeniada replied to LargeMediumSmall's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wing it....I was told to let the band tell me how much to eat. I still pay attention to protein and calories/fat but dont count them just moderate them. -
2ND FILL ~ Possible over fill?????
zeniada replied to jboone7@ec.rr.com's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A fill can take up to 1 week to feel the full affect so If you can stay with liquids for 1-2 days then mushies 1-2 days and then try solids....if after that you still have a hard time eating and drinking and it includes throwing up, sliming or PB'ing then I would consider and unfil...Good Luck -
I was talking to my husband tonight about how my band is too tight and I think I will need an unfill when he started comparing me to others who have lost weight with the lap band. He said that the "people he has talked to" have lost amazing amounts of weight with the lap band. I said to him sure but they were banded 1-2 years ago, they didn't lose all their weight in a matter of 3 months. He just kept comparing my weight loss which has been 23lbs in 3 1/2 mos, saying I must not be doing things right and I must be cheating. I AM TOO TIGHT RIGHT NOW!!! I can't eat any solids with out them coming back up all I can do is drink! I was soooooo mad at him for even daring to compare me to the 2 people he has found that have had the lap band. He didn't do any research before I got my surgery and still hasn't but will take it to the bank on what 2 other peoples results were. UUUGGGG...I feel so defeated right now! I can't eat, I PB every time I try, or slime till I puke. All I can do is drink Protein shakes or drink pureed Soup and I can't get an unfill until 18th! UUUUGGGG on top of that I will need to go to Mexico for my unfill but wont have anyone to go with me (hubby will be out of town) so I probably wont even get to have an unfill until JANUARY! Don't know if I can live this way much longer getting really tired of Carnation instant Breakfast (or other protein drinks) and soup! THANKS FOR LETTING ME VENT

You brought up a very good question as to why I couldn't go by my self...I have never been there by myself and am afraid I would get lost. If you have ever driven In TJ you would remember how difficult it can be and they have these crazy round about things you have to drive around and it's SCARY....but if worse comes to worse I will go by myself....

Have you ever got hit around the port?
zeniada replied to Rchavez101's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have never thought of that but I sometimes feel my port when I bend over to tie my shoes and it hurts so I can imagine that it would be very painful to get hit in the port... -
You sound like me right now and I am too tight....I had my second fill on Nov 23rd and till this day I still cant regular food only Drink liquids and thin soups. I know I need an unfill but dont know if I will be able to get one until January when the Doctor is back in town and my husband can go with me. My advise to you as I have been advised by others here on this board is to stick to a liquid/mushy diet and get an unfill as soon as you can...

Band too tight...Cant get unfill till late Dec what should I do?
zeniada posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have a feeling that my band is too tight. I can drink liquids but it is slow going down and i can't really eat solids as they get stuck and hurt. I spoke with my fill Doctor and he advised I go back to a liquid diet for about 1 week to see if it is just inflammation and he wouldnt be able to do an unfill until the 18th if I turn out to need on... So what advise do others have out there for me? I'm sure missing food right now but understand the reason to go on a liquid diet for about 1 week and then see what happens... -

zeniada replied to Seo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have never tried it but have seen it posted on LBT many times that Unjury has a chicken soup flavored protein drink...maybe that will work. Or you could just buy unflavored protein and add it to your soups.. I've done that it wasnt delish but I was able to eat it... -
