Fill Dr.'s in Wisconsin or Illinois?
irishmae11 replied to BETTERLIFE's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Weight Management: Surgical Criteria To The Top I've had or I'm having lap band surgery in Mexico. Will you do the fills for me? The safest option is to have fills performed by the surgeon that implants the band. If this is not possible for you, please meet with one of our surgeons to discuss your situation. How much is a fill? Please discuss the cost of fills with the surgeon's office at your consult visit. The price may vary depending on the possible need of having the fill performed at the hospital under fluoroscopy (special x-ray). Alexian Bros. My sugars were also on the high side right after surgery-I was 118 at my house before I left, then 154, 200 and 201 next morning...they gave me some insulin...was kinda freaked....but its better the last 2 days 99-107- I also had the privelige of being held "hostage' in recovery room for 8 hrs....no beds available....but we survived....feeling a little more human today....:clap2:
-
:faint: feeling ok, except tenderness abdominal muscles=had to wait in recovery room for 8 hrs, cuz no beds available-plus they wanted me in ICU to watch by breathing and DVT....Got home this afternoon and am in search of a comfortbale spot!!!

You will find lots of great advice and ears to vent to here...I will be banded next Wednesday and am getting nervous but looking forward to being healthier...I quit smoking last January and gained another 30 lbs. So I have been researching since last September, attended seminar, then saw Dr first time in October...decided to hold of until first of year, and here we are end of Feb... Anyway, welcome and good luck on your journey! Mae

Do you know-is that a surgical procedure? I'll bet they suggest that for me...my sis and Mom both died from PE's...after surgery....although I had d7c last year and had no problems-interesting how much they can do now?

Hello from Northwest Wisconsin
irishmae11 replied to deb4339's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Chubbola, (sorry, didn't see your real name)-was wondering how you were doing on the no smoking....I just had my 1 yr quit anniversary on 1-1-07...so I know it is hard...now just waiting on the rest of my testing to get a surgery date...hopefully late this month or early next....I am in Il -Elgin about 2 hrs from the Dells...spent a few hours up there at Ho-Chunk-bought those Indian kids many moccasins!!! :nervous I had a message from my surgeons office but didn't hear it til too late...may have to wait til Monday....:cry Hvae a great weekend.... Mae -
:think I had my last appointment with a pulomonologist on the 21st....I was kind of worried about this one as I have pulmonary embolisms in my family history....not only did he send for a special blood test for that, but also a sleep study and also thought he heard a systolic murnmur, so I have to have echocardiogram for that...the sleep study-they never came in to put the mask on me-does anybody know, does this usually mean no apnea? I know I snore, but never thought it kept me from sleeping properly-one of the VERY BEST THINGS I do is sleep......:notagree so not sure where we are at this moment.....I am soooo ready mentally...but I do want to make sure everything is good to go.....
