    I am quitting smoking

I had my 2 yr quit anniversary yesterday and while the weight gain is what made me consider and go for banding, overall, it was one of the best things I did...I feel so much better....My band doc told me also quitting smoking made me a better candidate for the band...showed stick-to0-it-teveness....thats probably spelled wrong!!! Keep us posted and Good Luck...the first 2 weeks were rough and I think what kept me going was not having to start over again by "slipping"....make a "mantra" N=not O=ONE N=NOT E=EVER:clap2:
  4. I had a squall jacket that I bought 3 yrs ago and it was always too tight and the zipper was either never working right or couldn't gracefully go around my "girth"...so I really hadn't worn it in 2 yrs....In November we were going to a Notre Dame game and I washed it and it fit, well, but turns out the zipper really WAS broken...I wrote to them to see if it could be repaired, they said send it in, they would replace or refund my $$...So I did, and for 6.00 for shipping, they sent me a BRAND new jacket, which fits great and was back to me in 4 days....then the other day was looking for my sunglasses....couldn't find them in the car...lo and behold on my front porch when I got home was a box from Land's End...I had left the shades in the jacket pocket...and they sent them back.....they rock!!!:clap2:

    Weight Watchers

And it definitely helps with keeping track of what I am eating and the weekly weigh ins keep me posted as to what I am doing...my weight at Dr's office is slightly different than WW's so the amount I am down keeps getting confusing-but at least it's DOWN....You may not be able to eat all your points...just be sure to get your water in and try on the fruits and veges....for the most part, I don't recommend coming "out" about the band at the meetings or on their boards.....:spit:

    Holy. Crap. (nsv)

Did anyone ever hear this...my boss was saying that a paramedic once told her you should put your REAL weight on your drivers license, in the event of a accident and they have to give you meds based on your weight, they would go by the weight on your DL....makes sense in a way, but I am gonna DIE!!! LOL

Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters

Oh one other thing, I noticed blood in my BM this morning. Should I be concerned? I've had been blocked up but I've been drinking prune juice for a few days now. I also had this a couple days after surgery-I was giving myself blood thinner injections post-op and was told those may have caused that. Also while IN the hospital, they would not let me have RED Jello, so as to avert the appearance of blood in stools...it only lasted a day or 2:nervous

    Marchies In April

I had a D&C last year and had that exact problem....cankor sores on bottom gums...went to dentist, she was going to send me to oral surgeon...went to PCP, she thought I had bone infection...sent me for bone scan...finally after maybe 4 weeks, I was running my tongue over sore spot and a tiny piece of bone came out....and it cleared up from there...was just freaky....thankfully, I had NO problems with band surgery=mouth sores or gas pains.....I think they had me on antibiotics also to clear it up.....:sick

    February 2007 bandsters!

:rolleyes I was banded on 2/28 and as of today am down 9.9 lbs....didn't have a pre-op diet, so thats it...also won't be getting a fill now til 4/19, was going to be week before (6 weeks), but doc is going to be out of town....kind of discouraged, feel like everybody is passing me by....have gone back to WW and am having trouble getting all my points in everyday, but still dont have a whole lot of restriction at all....plus I am tired all the time, have a hard time falling asleep, then when I get up and drive my hubby to work, I am back in bed for another 2-3 hours...:notagree I am off work until 4/9, am re-joining Curves and will get back on THAT groove Monday! Just want to vent.....!!!
