    Shrinkin' Violets Part 3 Read HERE!

    Yeah for me...I went to health club again and they showed me how to do the circuit machines, which were just a little more involved than the machines at Curves. Then I did the tradmill for 35 minutes....Kat glad Manda is doing better and hope Kinsey feels better soon, and Judy, same goes for Ethan and his Mom....so how do I find you kids on Facebook....I am becoming addicted,,,,Login | Facebook it looks like the scale may finally move in the right direction this week....have been on a roller coaster/yo-yo the past 2 months really...off to check my chili...see you all later!

    Shrinkin' Violets Part 3 Read HERE!

    We are supposed to get another inch or two tonight/tomorrow, I think....but on the bright side, I have gone to workout 5 of 6 days....yeah me....made the mistake of stopping by Panera this morning fior free coffee and I thought samples of their new breakfast items...I eneded up ordering a egg souffle and ate halk of it, was very good, but way too many points for a breakfast, so I had to skimp the rest of day...hope everybody is feeling better...:bored:

    Glad no one was offenden by Vi's picture...it was too purple to pass up!!! LOL... I think has far as the weight thing goes, it's a journey...you have to think of it as a lifestyle change...we didn't gain the weight overnight, and it won't go away overnight either...learning process....I still go to Weight Watchers every week...I need the accountability and support...the last month I have been up and down...down another 1.2 today...but was up 2.0 last week, and 3 lbs two weeks before...I think for January I am still up 1/2 lb or so...I did win a 3 month membership to a hospital health and fitness center, so I have just been able to really start doing that...and as long I am not working, I may as well take advantage of it...going to try to commit to go every day next week...and actually try a class or 2...instead of just doing treadmill...anybody have any suggestions...I thought I heard someone say they do Zumba..I also have never done yoga or Pilates so I might try that...they also have a AiChi which is like Tai Chi but in the water... Anyway, have a good night..talk later!

    Hi Violets, TracyKS, yes I did put the tofu in the H/C soup...think next time I will try the immersion blender and see if it "creams" into the soup more, it really has no taste, just looks weird....I was on the radio here in Chicago today..I was driving home from lunch with a friend and a short "playtime" at the casino-shhhhh...but I had a coupon for 45.00 and I was 1/2 the way there-it would have been a SIN not to take advantage!!! LOL...ok, well, I lost my job in Sept, which was a step-down from the job I lost in Nov 2007...have been looking and doing some temp stuff, anyway, they were talking on the radio and they wanted people to call in who were looking for jobs...I dialed and miracle, I got through, got on the air, talked for a few minutes with the host, who is my fav...and they took my ph number and if anybody is interested, they can call station and they will pass on my number...who knows...anything worth a shot at this point. I just love reading you guys...Judy I am basically straight west of you so we get your weather about 24 hrs before you do....was beautiful today, but supposed to get freezing again this weekend! :biggrin: Have a great weekend and I hope everybody feels better soon!

    WOW...I made the Ham & Cheese soup today, and LOVED IT!!!:tongue: I added some tomatoes/chilies...was very good though and I figured out the Weight Watcher points and it is only 4 pts per 8 oz serving...

    Ok, Judy, would you please share your fudge recipe....I found a "low-point" one made with brownie mix and PUMPKIN and fat-free peanut butter.....you don't cook it, just mix and chill...well it never got hard-hate that!....and when you scooped it out it looked like dog-you know what....daughter tried it before I told her there was pumpkin in it....she didn't like it and went ballistic after I told her about the punkin....lol....imagine if I tried the Velveeta one!!!! You gals' and your POOP TARTS are cracking me up..... Hope you all have a great holiday!!!:laugh:

    Ok, was it here I saw a recipe for a taco-type soup that had tomato soup and salsa as the base...I have searched taco soup all over the place and have not found anything with those ingredients...I must be losing my mind.....and I wish it weighed more than .5 so I would be in ONEDERLAND!:thumbdown:

    weight watchers on the band?

    I still go to WW for the weekly support and wigh in...I am 1 1/2 yrs out from band, still have a ways to go....I haven't "fessed" up at my meeting about my band but have posted about it on the boards...some of THOSE boards will flame you for anything, so I wouldn't take it to heart...I am using the tool of WW with my other tool, my band. I usually have problems getting all my veges and fruits in...I find juices V8 or Fusion works best for me...but the smoothie mixes are great sources of protein, 14-17 gm per drink and it helps get my calcium in....do what is best for you...I could have done it all with just weight watchers, but it would have taken me forever-er...it is still taking me a while, but slower is better anyway...

    Rice, bread and tortillas o my

    I don't have any problems with rice, pita bread goes down fine....denser breads like whole grain are ok...or just take it real slow, chew well...now tortillas as in tacos, burritos are rough some days but enchilada sauced ones are fine...just try a little at a time...you will learn....

    I am not a VIOLET, I was banded 2/28/07, but I enjoy reading you guys so much....I remember when Tracy in KS thought she was going to be a January bandster, then Feb and on and on...I am getting THERE, slowly but surely...down 75 lbs, almost in ONEderland....still go to WW for weekly "check-in"...haven't had a fill since June....think I am good where I am at, still have PB's but it's ok, keeps me "good"...anyways, hope you don't mind my "lurking"....:thumbup:

    I wish I wouldn't Have!

    Reesa, I see your sig says you are from Rockford-may I ask where you were banded? I live in Elgin and had mine done at St Alexius in Hoffman Estates...my daughter lives in Rockford and also is a nurse in Rockford...I would love to see her have surgery also, but I am sure going to Hoffman is out of question for her...hoping there IS somebody out there doing surgery???

    Ugh...

    I too am guilty of reading and not posting much....my bandiversary is the 28th of Feb....I too have been in a slump/frump lately....job hunting and cabin fever is not a GOOD combo...hopefully things will turn around soon....
