I had a rough night last night. I had maybe 3 oz of protein pudding and was stuffed. I paid for it royally. I can't believe how 3 oz could make me so full and sick.

Lesson One Learned! I read somewhere that hicups are a sign of being full. I will listen the next time I beat ya!

I have had the same questions and concerns when it comes to the differences in culture. I am glad you raised this issue. I have been watching the videos on youtube and there seems to be a slight difference in the journey of African Americans and other (based on what I have seen so far). One thing that I did is went natural for the past year to minimize the hair loss if any (no perms). I am quite concern about this. My hair is thick and growing at the moment (or atleast prior to the surgery) and I have it braided. So, I guess I will see what happens when I take it out next month to get it redone. While I recognize everyone is an individual and has a different experience, I am interested in seeing if there are any differences in the journey experienced between African Americans and others. I am finally sleeve. Surgery went well and there are no leeks. I should be going home tomorrow or Thursday. Getting liquids down us not easy but I am trying. I have a lot of acid reflux.

My surgery is tomorrow & yes I am doing clear liquids 24 hours prior. I'm sipping on my decaf tea now. Mine hasn't been so bad since my surgery is at 1 pm. So, I got to have breakfast & lunch.

My surgery is scheduled for Monday, February 7, 2011. Your adventure made me laugh so, that I will reflect back on it on Monday. I have had an abdominal surgery before, and could recall the things you have shared in your story. I am hoping the pain will be less severe since it is laposcopic (as oppose to the open surgeries I have had in the past). Never the less I am still excited about finially getting sleeved. But, that for making me laugh. :laugh:

My plan is to take 4 weeks.

I'm looking forward to getting off my CPAP also. My surgery is in 6 days

I saw my Dr. yesterday & got my date set for Feb 7th. I am counting the days with joy!

February 7, 2011. I'm soooooo excited!!!!!

I have Empire BCBS. My case was submitted on 1/6/11 & approved 1/20/11.

I was approved on Friday. I am so happy. I will be seeing my Dr. this week to get a surgery date.

I got the call today (1/21/11). I've been approved!!!!! Yeah!!!
