    Today at church people kept coming up to me and saying how well I was slimming down. Some wanted to know what I was doing. I was smiling all day.

    Daily Carbohydrate Intake

    I specifically asked my doctor and nutritionist and they told me that carbs are necessary to get the fiber need for good health. They told me as long as its greater than 3 grams of fiber then its ok. I was also told that since I'm only 5 week out (it will be 6 on Monday) that I should not concern myself with calories & carbs. My concentration should be on Protein, Fiber, Water and Exercise (including strength training). I was told to do my best to get in protein first, then vegetables, and then 3 grams or more of fiber. To drink water even when I'm not thristy (which is what I struggle with now). While I appreciate the advise of others, I think it best to follow my doctor and nutritionist advice.

    Tried Zumba today

    I have Zumba on wii & its a real work out
  5. 18,712 steps today. My God I'm tired. That translates go 8.86 miles.

  6. I got clearance today to start back at the gym with some stength training. So, I guess I will start on Saturday. But for today, 14,834 steps 7.02 miles

    I was thinking about buying the BodyFit Media. Has anyone had any experience with it? Is it worth the purchase?

  10. The first couple of weeks I was always tired. I had to take a nap everyday while I was home.

    Bra Size changes

    I am waiting to loose more weight before buying new ones. I have some in smaller sizes I never got rid of. Some days I just wear my sports bra ( I have quite a few of them). I playing the waiting game before buying anything. I want to loose another 40-50 lbs first. Until them, I'll just keep pulling out those clothes and bras I outgrew in the last 6 years.

    Unrealistic Expectations

    I told no one. Blessing in disguise for that I have been through multi surgeries for other medical reasons and each time I lost a significant amount of weight by the time I returned to work. Then as time went on I gained it back and then some. So, this time is no different. They know I had surgery, but not what kind. My losing weight is no big deal since every time I had surgery I lost weight. I just say, this time I am determined not to gain it back. No more discussion. I have seen how they talk about and treat people who have had weight loss surgery.They are beyond judgmental and overly cruel. I was the captain of the 30X5 challenge last year (30 min of activity 5 times a week for 12 weeks). I think I will be captain again this year, and that will cover my workout and continued weight loss without all the judgment and gossip. The bottom line is for me, it's no one's business and I am a very private person.

    Daily Carbohydrate Intake

    I am going to ask my Nutritionist on Thursday when I see her. She never mentioned Carbs, Only Protien atleast 60 grams. When I was discharged, they told me to be more concerned with hydration and not calories or even protein. Try to get the protein in but be more concern with liquids. Now that I am 5 weeks, I want to know what should be my calorie intake (right now its 500-800 per day), and what should be my Carb intake. I already know protein should be between 60-80 grams per day.
  14. I walked 15,000 steps. (approx. 7 miles) Let's see how long will it take me to get to 20,000 steps.

  15. The scale is still dancing around that same 1 lb. up 1 then down 1. Its starting to drive me nuts.

  16. My case was submitted the first week of January and I am still waiting for a response. I am getting nervous. Why is it taking so long. I hope they don't take the whole 30 days to respond. I need this and I am praying for an approval.
  17. I wore my perdometor today and I walked 12,500 steps. appox 6 miles.

  18. Back to Work tomorrow. What am I going to do without my afternoon nap.

  20. I'm playing hit and miss with the food I'm eating. Things I use to love I don't seem to like too much anymore.

    Easter Sunday - WHAT WILL YOU WEIGH???

    I am only one week out from my surgery so, I'm going to be aggressive. I hope to get as close as possible in the next 10 weeks. SN..................Starting Wt.......Current......Goal......Lbs to Goal morethan...............250...............231.6..........199..............32.6 I don't think I'm going to make it. I'm stalled. 24 lbs to go until Easter.
  22. I'm doing a see saw thing. Up 1 lb; down 1 lb.

  23. I went to the gym today to walk on the treadmill. It was a nice change from doing the wii. I gotta keep mixing it up so I don't get bored.

  24. Has anyone actually avoided the hair loss? I will be doing the same, taking biotin & trying my best to get the protein in. But I haven't actually heard anyone say they didn't loose their hair.
