Good luck tomorrow!

MellBell, when is your surgery? Good luck with it! The best thing about this for me is that yoyo thing. I was down to 190 2 years ago and in a size 12. Now I am up again. I never want to do this yoyo thing again. Best of luck to you....it is a life changing choice.

I know that getting this done is not taking the easy way out. There is absolutely nothing easy about having this surgery and you have a change your life and the way you eat to make it work for you. You have to move and make exercise a way of life! Thinking about never having a Coke Zero again is the worst for me. However, to be happy and healthy and be the best me possible I have a date with the surgeon on June 29th.

Liquid Diet Question?????
luckyone replied to warrior68's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Warrior, My name is Robbie and my band date is 6/29. Four weeks away! I start the liquid diet in two weeks! My concern for you if you are on the road all day is blood clots. FYI you need to get up and walk around at least every two hours if you are driving around in a car or an airplane or small space for long hours. I have to get kids to camp two weeks afterwards and we are going to Michigan a month afterwards and I was warned by the pulmonalogist about this. I am a cardiac nurse so I was aware of this but I thought is was weeks afterwards. The MD told me it was for eight weeks post op. So stop and move for you. Good luck with the band and your new life! -

Doug, I liked your posting. I especially liked the evening where you said 'I can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings.' Just think what the rest of your life will bring. All the best on your journey.....I'm sure you will do great! Be well....Robbie -
Hmmmm...Introduction Please!

Rhonda, Great, I let you know when it comes...thanks! Is it ok if I add you to my friend list? I have no friends....boo hoo. Seriously, it has taken so long but yes it is right around the corner. Going to Michigan at the end of July and hoping to be feeling good and being more active. If I could be down twenty lbs then too it would be a miracle. Who knows God is good! Robbie -
Hmmmm...Introduction Please!

Mommy2Ps I spoke with my sister last evening and four days at home should be enough. I am a cardiac nurse and it is very physical and hectic. I plan on not lifting for a few weeks but other than that I have been assured by many that four days is good. Let me know how it goes for you and much luck! Just think how wonderful it will be to be fit and run around after your child/children. -

Hi Rhonda, Happy Birthday to you! You can hear the motivation in your words. Excellent for you. Also quick note to mother2ps ...what a cutie you have. I have been approved. I see the pulmonary MD on Thursday evening. I then have my preop tests and I guess I am ready to go. My older sister had the lap band and now runs races. I can't wait to hear from journey.... All the best! Robbie Lynn -
I hope and pray that my MD says only two weeks. It is going to be a long hot summer if that is the case! The port should be closed over so I can't see a problem....boo hoo

Anglov, Sounds like you are doing awesome! I love how WB says it is an investment in you. Haven't we done so much for so many and I guess now is the time for us. Much love with the process! I did want to ask you...how long did you have to take off of work post op? My day is most likely in June and I thought I would be running around the unit the next week. I am a cardiac nurse. Much thanks! Luckyone

Hi WB. Thanks for the message. I am a pre bander. One you say to avoid. I saw your response to the girl who just had the band and is having pain. I am sorry but this is my first day and I totally got freaked out by all the people complaining of complications. Your message definately made me feel much better about the decision that I am most probably going to under take next month. Keep up the great work!
