Thanks, I will try that... My heartburns issues seem to have subsided, I can just eat anything, even a hamburger. -

Oh Allison...boy do I need you!! I was banded in March of 2007. I can't believe it's been almost 2 years! I have only lost 36lbs. Either the band is not working for me or I'm not working the band. There aren't any support groups near me so I'm pretty much on my own. I don't know how to get back on track and stay there!!! If you are willing and able to be my mentor...I would be forever grateful!! I am in this same boat! I was banded Oct 31, 2006 and have only lost 40 lbs. I've had some heartburn problems and the doctor wanted to unfill my band and leave the Fluid out for three weeks. I protested and was successful at getting the fluid increased. My major problem is that I can eat larger portions and I am not really ever full. I could really use some support.... -
After my surgery I was in severe pain at my port site for three solid weeks. I could not sleep in my bed or even touch my stomach. The dr said he may have stitched through a nerve. He prescribed some lidoderm patches that I wore at night which seemed to help and eventually the pain went away. Hope yours does too........

I was banded Oct 31... welcome. Are there others out there who live in the Austin/College Station area? I am looking for a good support group... -
I had my first fill yesterday which was just two weeks after surgery. I felt (and still feel) so bad. I hurt like I have the flu and feel nauseaous. I thought it was because it was so soon after surgery but I am glad to see that this is not abnormal. I hope each fill gets better.

:phanvan Hello, I was banded Oct. 31, 2006. At first everything was fine. Shortly after I came home I began hurting. A burning, hot, searing hurt in my port area. My doctor said the stitches may have gone through a nerve. As long as I am not wearing a bra it is bearable, somewhat. It hurts constantly and sitting at my desk is very uncomfortable. I am wondering if anyone else has had a similiar experience. It is Nov. 14 and I have an appointment today. So far, I feel I have no restriction and can eat just about anything. I am not sure if I will get a fill today or if I will just go in for a visit. I have been unable to get off pain medication and do not like how I feel when I take it. I also have not been able to sleep in my bed since surgery due to the port site hurting.

Hello! I was banded Oct. 31, 06.. so far I have had terrible pain at my port site. The dr said my stitches may have gone through a nerve, but in all my research online I have been unable to find anything that says how long this will last. Has anyone else had this problem? So far I have held my protein shakes well, I like the Unjury chocolate and I have lost 23 lbs. If I could just get the port site to stop hurting.........
