I am just coming back I got banded in June 2010 and by Nov I had lost 45lbs going from 320 to 275 and a funny thing happened I decided to skip my Nov adjustment and said I would get it in Dec but here we are in May and I just got my adjustment after putting back on the 45lbs I lost so I am starting all over again. But I am glad to be back and look forward to doing it right this time.

I have to be honest with myself and my lapband family. I have been cheating for the last 2 weeks and it shows, I started working out and I found my appetite increased from where it was which would not be a problem if i ate the correct foods but my sweet tooth got the best of me and the double chocolate chip cookies from wholefoods became by vice. I have now put back on 7lbs eating junk oh and i justified by saying well I'm working out and it muscle weight (just lying to myself I know) so I decided to come clean and make a new start today so I can move on. So now that I told on myself I feel better. Thanks for listening.

well a lot has happened since june 9th I have lost weight and gained weight and had my 1st fill but overall i am happy with where i am I have gone from 316-18 pre-op to 286 post op today I had went on vacation and gained back 5lbs so i worked hard to get that back off before yesterdays appointment and i weighed in at 286 had i not gained the weight (by eating a lot of starch) i probably would have been under 280 but hey i know what i did and i wont be doing that again. which brings me to yesterdays appointment I got my 1st fill so I am looking forward to seeing how it affects me going forward and my doctor gave me the ok to resume full physical activities so biking and gym time here i come -

thanks all for the encouragement yes it is a journey I am getting used to my fill I am noticing a difference in how can eat now as opposed to pre-fill i am filling up a lot faster and not getting as hungry physically I notice I still get mentally hungry and that is where my challenge lies but in time I will get that under control also. -
i have been feeling great i feel lighter when i walk i dont have the heavy feeling i had before and that in itself is great not to say there arent bad days but the good ones way outnumber the bad ones

Today marks my 4th week from my banding I can say i feel great i am still doing my puree meals but finding things to have is easy i keep a real simple diet so i plan sticking with it when i move to solids because it is working my loss so far is 28 lbs i went from pre-op 316 down to post op 288 with a noticeable change in how my clothes fit i have gone down almost 1 pants sizes from 46 to 44 and even they are a little big on me so i am loving this i look forward to moving to solids though tired of having to puree my food

congrats on the weight loss I am 3wks post op and i have lost 24lbs i wasnt required to do the 2wk pre-op diet if I was i probably would have lost more. But i am happy with the weight loss to date and we need to keep an eye on the long term goal which is to lose as much as possible safely so as long as there are no effects keep it up -
sorry I took so long to reply I was banded on 6/9 and at first i was really sore and gassy but today i feel a lot better it has taken awhile to get used to eating small amounts but i dont feel hungry and if i do i usually sip on some water with crystal lite in it. dont feel depressed this is only for a short while and everything gets better from here

not feeling to bad plenty of gas though but i know that is to be expected. had my 1st meal 2 ounces of chicken broth and 2 ounce apple juice (a real no no) they gave it to me at the hospital i took a sip and that was it will stick with water for my liquids

After all the fun stuff like bike riding and amusement parks it comes down to work, I am a photographer and the weight had really become a detriment to getting work, I had a friend tell me they would have hired me but the were worried I wouldnt be able to get around to get all the shots which at this stage unfortunately is true..so i have taken this summer off to work on me and I am looking forward to the surgery
