August 10 I get my first fill! Can't wait!
On soft food now so have to think thin and change bad habits. Don't want to gain before my fill.

HoneyBrown: You are rocking it! Way to go!
Shawnybug: I don't like it when it is too hot because of the humidity too. Drinking water is so mega important because my surgeon said three people already came back with dehydration so keep drinking and get some pedialight pops or gatrorade for the electrolites the body needs. Just a sip works better then water.
Going to see my surgeon tomorrow for my Post Op and I get to eat soft food THANK GOD! Not that I am hungry just sick of the drink.

How are you feeling? Can't believe it, you are the first July band friend! AWESOME!
-
What protein shake are you on? I am having the EAS lowcarb drink and thank GOD I only have four more days because it really is starting to make me sick. LOL Can't wait to start real soft foods. Hope I don't over do it since there is no restriction right now since the band isn't inflated at all yet.
Have you lost weight? Right now I am down 11lbs.

Sorry to hear you are having heartburn. There has to be a reason for it so please call your surgeon and express your concerns! I had my surgery on July 7th and didn't have any issues. My heart goes out to you! Will pray you are able to find out what is causing it!
Good luck

You are right about any loss being a good loss! Keeping it off is even better!
Good luck with your journey!

That's right anything that makes the scale go down is all GOOD! Can't wait for my fill; starting to feel hungry now and I am afraid once I get to eat soft food that I will over do it.

Yes, had to stay one night and most of then following day because they wanted me to have an Upper GI to make sure everything was working well.

Was surprised also at how well I felt. Already dropped 11 lbs which isn't my focus really. Hubby asked me to find out. LOL Told him and others that my focus is on changing bad habits now and the weight will follow.
Hope everyone is doing well still and remember it's not how much you lose it's how much you learn about changing the bad to the good habits!
Good luck!

Hi Kelly,
Everyone kept asking me if I weighed myself and I just had the surgery on July 7th. I told them it wasn't about how much I was losing; this time around it is all about changing my bad habits for good ones. That is my focus and as long as those are changing the weight will come off. All the times I focused on the scale I ended up regaining which is why I finally got the lap band to stop me from focusing on that evil scale! LOL
Make certain you talk to your nutritionist and surgeon when you see them. They have heard it all I bet and can help you figure it out. Of course we amatures will do our best to help you as well!
Hugs and good luck!

I was surprised at how well I felt after. The only thing giving me issues is where they placed the port. Feels sore to the touch and rather stiff but once it heals that should go away.
Have you been walking around at all?
Found the more I walked small amounts of course the better I felt.

Yes, I had to stay over night one night which my insurance covered. Went home late the following day around 6:30 pm. Had nothing to eat or drink on Wednesday and they finally fed me on Thursday late afternoon. Had to have an UPPER GI so that is why they couldn't feed me prior. Guess my surgeon wanted to make certain everything looked good and was working well. LOL they tell you not to drink from a straw or gulp but yet the day after surgery I am having an upper gi which is using a straw and gulping! Confused the heck out of me!
