Hey Maria,
I was banded at Synchrony in Oak Brook. The liquid diet does suck but I was so scared to eat actually food that I was cool with the liquids for a while. Overall my journey is going ok, it's actually exactly how I thought it would be. The only issue I have been running into is figuring out what foods will make me sick, that's still always a surprise. Do you have your initial goal yet?

It's good to know I am not alone, I myself am realizing I have not been as focused as I should have been. I had a bad experience with a faulty scale and that really through me off. I thought I had lost 15 lbs more than I really had and that lead me to think, WOW I could eat anything. I was wrong and am now trying to get back on track. -

Hi, I am 27 years old and was banded about 6 months ago and as of now I have lost about 33lbs but I have lost motivation. I go to the gym twice a week and meet with my trainer but I am having trouble staying focused when it comes to what I eat. Chances are I need another fill and will meet with my surgeon this week to do that. However I need someone to talk with someone who knows what I am going through and won't judge me when I slip up. I have about 130lbs left to lose and I know it wont happen overnight but it's so frustrating when the scale doesn't move. keeping my fingers crossed I will find someone to talk to. :laugh: -
Paying out of Pocket, Scared I didn't make the right decision

Hi everyone, I am set to have surgery in one week, and I am TERRIFIED. I have been going through this process for over a year and was rejected by my insurance 4 different times. I finally decided I would make sacrifices and pay out of pocket. I am starting to doubt myself, did I make the right decision? Could I have tried harder to lose weight other ways? I know in my heart this is right but I am still nervous. :thumbup:
