Angera i'm SUPER nervous....it's tomorrow...yikes!!....i don't think it will really hit me until i'm laying in the hospital bed...i know i'll probably start crying...thank god my mom came down to be with me.....i started writing a journal so that this time next year i hope to look back and laugh at how i saw and thought about myself....congrats...wish you luck!!! keep in touch....we both need that inspiration to keep on going....

Thank you for that Lola's Mom! That helped a lot made me less nervous....this is my first surgery ever, i've never even been put to sleep before...can't wait till it's over with and i get to start a new ME!

Hi all!! I wish i could of started posting earlier once i started the pre-op process. My surgery is on 8/13/10 and i'm freaking out. I've never had surgery in my life nor was i ever in the hospital. This has been a loooog journey for me and even longer once i have the surgery. I've gotten mixed reviews on LAP-BAND® compared to gastric bypass. A lot of people say it doesn't work as good. I just don't want my stomach sliced in half...ewww!....I have been writing a journal to keep up with my thoughts through this process. Wish me luck! :thumbup: -
Wow so happy for you...my goal is also 170 due to my height....i'm currently 310 and my surgery is 8/13/10....i'm scared of the side effect and also scared i won't make it to my goal....how did you stay focused and how many times a week did you exercise?

I am also not telling anyone at work about my lapband, however they do know that i am going through surgery for a health issue that i have not disclosed to them. So at least they realize that i will be in a delicate condition when i come back to work. My surgery is also on the 13th, i had my blood test today and all paperwork done. Can't wait!! :thumbup: -

Thanks, it's great to hear positive responses. One thing i'm worried about is adjusting to it and the eating. I took 2 weeks off from working..hoping it would be enough time to recover....
