About Me

My Story (the cliff notes)

Had surgery in July 2010. To date, I have lost 70 pounds since my highest weight in April 2010 - - but I have 80 more pounds to lose and am struggling now with knowing what I can eat (healthy wise) - making good food choices, and just general support.

My surgeon has not offered any eating info - other than eat slowly and he recommended a low fat diet book to read with recipes. The surgery went great but since surgery I have been on my own and through trial and error. In fact - I ate soft foods that slipped through the lapband for 4 months and lost almost nothing. I thought I was able to eat it because I was too tight and not because some food slips through.

I was too tight for a while and vomiting daily. Now I am looser but not eating healthy. My addiction and love for food has not changed one bit. I get depressed some days because it is almost a year from my surgery and I have not lost more weight.

Looking to meet people that had some hurdles and then overcame them with this surgery!!!!!!!!!!!
