Well, I don't think I am going to do the timed 5K, I have to finish in 45 minutes, so I may just do the fun run, and if I finish I will be happy!! Thanks everyone for the compliments. Its fun to show off the body I haven't had since HS. LOL. Manatee, you look so cute, you SO should be going out now! Derbygirl, congrats on the few pounds! It seems so slow sometimes, but it will happen. PigsR, Those nasty breakups are sometimes the bane of existence, but, you are on your way toward a better tomorrow. We all are. It will get better, and you will look back and think "what did I even SEE in him?" Denise, Do you feel like you are restricted enough or too much? Maybe you are so restricted, (like I think I am right now) that you are getting so few calories your metabolism has slowed down. I know you have been saying that you have not been losing for months now. There has got to be something up with that Well, if I forgot anyone, I apoligize in advance. I will be back later gators Kristi Shelb, How did you slip so soon? Was it doc error, or what? So sorry you had to be redone so soon! -

Sugar1, you wont be alone forever. You have made a HUGE step and investment in your future and health, a bit of skin won't get in the way. And, if it needs to be done, you can have it fixed. I know its expensive, but let me tell you, there are things in this life worth paying for, and the lapband was one of them for me. If I have to have skin removed later on also, or get implants, LOL cause mine are going going gone now, then I am going to try to do it. I think I will have to have a little tummy tuck, I DO have a lot of skin there, it grosses me out. But, my man never says anything about it, maybe he doesnt care. And you will find someone who loves you for you too. but, for real, these advertisements along the side saying lapband $6800 really tick me off. I paid $15000, but it included a years worth of checkups, fills, or unfills, 2 cannisters of protein shakes, pre op visits, and anesthesia during surgery. What did everyone else pay? I sometimes feel like I got ripped off, but then I think I could be paing 150 -200 month for fills, etc and post op check ups. Well, done is done. Kristi -

Manatee, you should go out for a coffee or something, like to Borders, every one can share their reading experiences and talk about what they like to read. And thats a pretty safe midground area, no making out would be acceptable, kids around, etc. If you felt like a movie or something later then go for it! Chrispy, you look great! Keep up the good work. Maybe if you are seeking food, you could use a fill? Linadu, you probably have always been sexual, but were just pushing it to the back of your "things to do" list. I know thats how I have been. And theres nothing wrong with that, but be careful!! So no, you are not alone, I didn't get any for over 3 years bc I didn't like mybody, now i am not ashamed, so I am havin some fun. JC you look great too! Those kangaroo shoes sound like fun. I am going on my first 5K timed run next month, wish me luck! dabluprint, welcome! I will go check your page out!! Smilin Apple, I think I lost 15 lbs on protein shakes bf surgery. I found a really good protein shake, cant remember how many carbs or whatever, but it was satisfying. Its called Hanks protein shakes, I had the choc, but he has Vanilla too I think. It wasn't chalky at all. And I found a new way to have my protein in the am, since I am too full now, I can't have anything solid or cold bf 10am(sucks) I bought some lowfat french vanillla cappucchino mix, splenda, and 2 scoops of whey protein(20 g protein. Mix it all up with hot water, adn blend it. Its great in the morning. Well, I willl try to show some pics too, don't have any very recent ones this was a few weeks ago. Don't know how to resize either lol Kristi -

ShannonRT, I have been an RT for 5 ish years. Mostly doing CT, outpt. surgeries, Mammo, etc. Its nice to meet someone else on here with the same background. I almost envy the RT who runs the fluoroscope who does my fills, I think that would be a cush job!!LOL I would get so bored doing that all day. I figured I have a bit of knowledge about xrays, so I should see if I still know what I am talking about. Kristi :girl_hug: -

Derbygirl,

A fluoroscope is an xray tube that shows live xrays, not just an "xray"picture. You are actually seeing it live, watching your insides. Barium is a liquid they give you to drink while watching the fluoroscope. Barium is radiopaque, which means that the xray beam cannot penetrate it, or can only penetrate it very little. The rest of your body however, can be penetrated to differing degrees by xrays. Thus the shades of black, white, and grays on the image, or screen. The barium usually shows up as white, or very dense. (allthough sometimes its the opposite, if the fluoroscope is set on negative.) They are usu. in negative, so the barium would be darker. The doc. or pa can see you swallow, watch the barium travel down your esophagus into your pouch, and see how much keeps on going through, or if it just sits there. They can also see leaks from this kind of exam if your band has eroded, for example. I think every banded person should have a fluoroscopic exam with the barium at least once a year, to check for erosion, just my opinion.

JC,

Sorry you have to have surgical correction. That really bites. And the timing is all off. I rode my bike 8 miles yesterday, and 5 today. My legs are killing me today!! I bought a new Trek last summer, it is really getting its usage this summer, but I love that bike. Its actually a hybrid, so I can go anywhere, have beent rying to teach myself how to jump curbs and stuff. Some of the neighborhood boys watch me and laugh, I have those front shocks, so I don't get very high. LOL

Leona,

Glad to hear about you an your man. I hope everything works out well.

Chrispy,

Yeah, tattoo boys need to be avoided at all costs. I guess maybe I am just a bad judge of character at first. I lwant to like most people, so I have on blinders most of the time. Anyway, I have a great one now, so I may not have met him without having first gone through the bad ones.

Okay, well I am done for now. Fingers hurtin, so sore from typing since I havent done it in a while. ttya'll later! Bye

Kristi
-

Chrispy, I am glad you have been doing so well. Have you moved again since the apartment? You are doing great on your weight loss! And with the men it sounds like. No, this isn't my tattoo boy, he was a real winner, let me tell you. I sold those Rock concert tx to him, he still owes me 128 dollars for them and won't return my calls. So, that, obviously was a waste of time and money. My new guy is only 29 woo hoo for me! And he is absolutely wonderful, sensitive, goofy, funny, sweet, caring, and I love him a lot, AND I didn't say the love word first, so its the real deal this time. JC, cant wait to hear about your check up. Leona, Thanks for the compliments, you look great also! I can't wait to get to my new goal, but I guess I should get to my original goal first. My best friend has a masters in Trumpet Performance, and plays with the Philharmonic, and local orchestras, etc. She also played with the New Mexico Orchestra, and a few others. What do you play? I would love to learn the violin. Denise, did you ever read that book I suggested to you, Ghostfox? Was just wondering if you liked it. Pigsrflyin, congrats on the surgery and the new weight loss! Its wonderful to see it start coming off! Me, I have had soooo much restriction since my last fill, I think my metabolism has slowed down due to lack of calories. I have been trying for 2 days to get more calories in, including waking up in the middle of the night to munch a bit. I cant even get enough water, it sucks. But, last night, I laid back down to sleep after a very very very teeny weeny snack, like one friggin bite, and an hour later I had some reflux, and I aspirated some of it. Well, now I will probably get aspiration pneumonia, and I can't have that. I coughed and coughed this morning, but I am still wheezing, so I obviously havent' gotten it all out of my lungs, yes lungs, because it went down both sides. Guess I will be going to my PCP for some meds this week. I hate getting fills. Kristi :faint: -
Praelynn, I don't know anyone personally who has used him. I thought about it, but I used a Dallas doc. Kristi
