My pouch was irritated and swollen so Dr took all my fluid out. Ten minutes after it felt like I was having a heart attack, bp was sky high, heart rate thru the roof! Went back in to see my Dr and she had me rushed to the hospital as a precaution, even though we all felt it was gastro/band related. Heart is fine! But I still keep getting pain in my chest where the band is located! Is it normal to feel discomfort after an unfill?

The unfill came right after the barrium swallow. Pouch was dilated and irritated. No slip! Had an upper GI scope done as well. I am going to call her if the pain comes back again. Last time was this morning.

This is normal. They put a catheter in you and combined with anesthesia, you strength of flow is diminshed. It will be normal in a few days! Some people dont notice the difference!

What has been your weight loss?
joecs1 replied to 4them's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You have really heavy hair.......just kidding. You are doing really well. My heaviest weight was in march 312lbs. My current "unofficial" weight is 240.4lbs at home in the birthday suit. Thats 72lbs! I use my weigh ins @the dr office for consistency. every 4th friday @ 10am. Fully dressed, after I have eaten breakfast, I am usually 4.5 lbs heavier than my home scale. I have noticed very little hair loss......no more than usual anyway. The last time I went in they would not give me a fill because I lost 10 lbs in a month. I go on the 19th and I think I lost more than 10lbs, so im not expecting a fill. -

Sorry for the intrusion in the powder room! But I dated a woman who when wearing tight jeans, crossed her legs and shook the top leg, could have an "O". She also liked riding on the back of my motor cycle! It made her horney! So I believe a lot of women probably have your luck!

Scars...what are you using?
joecs1 replied to stefaniwg's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been using the mederma, vit e oil and my healthfood/vitamin store recomended 100% pure aloe 1 tbsp per day. Its great for the skin healing. even with burns of all sorts. I keep it refrigerated and it tastes gross. I also put it directly on the scars. Im very happy with the progress of my scars -

For the Women hanging out in the "mens room"........... Edub may have some self-confidence issues and thats not fair to call names!!!! And before I was married.....The larger I got, The more often I would get shot down!!! Women can be pretty shallow especially when they are very pretty on the outside. You bring up Kevin James who is an awesome guy. But not every pudgy or fat guy has that confidence or style. And quite frankly, I dont believe for a God D*** moment you have never looked at a guy (slim, well built, nice face and smile) and said "oh yes" and then thought....but he wont like me. Its reality for all of us who have weight issues. His question asked in the "Mens Room", may have been put in better terms had this been in a different forum. I think it was meant to be "guy talk" in a slightly funnier way!

Agreed! Try again soon. Maybe you were tight at that time. Or it was over cooked. Many people say certain foods are good one time and not the next!
