I checked in on Wednesday 3/24/10, 6:30 am, & was home five hours later!  It went amazingly well for me. Although I could have returned to work the very next day, I had already made arrangements to take Thursday & Friday off.  I returned to work Monday 3/29/10. Other then not being able to sleep on my side or on my stomach, I had very little discomfort. I had my first fill done yesterday.  I've yet to experience any restriction so far, but have managed to lose 14 lbs. since my one-to-one preop doctor visit on 3/9/10. An added bonus: I've always been irregular (constipation; IBS), but have been "doing" well since surgery. That alone is a huge plus for me. Also, I no longer crave greasy food, ice cream, cheese, pizza, pastries, cake, soda, etc. I ordered an iced tea at a El Pollo Loco drive thru yesterday, but was erroneously given a coke. I tossed it.  It didn't taste good to me at all!
