I'm still on it! week 8, had to repeat 7 a few x, and i haven't run in a week, my car is in the shop for over 3 weeks now and if I run outside i get shin splints. But i plan on finishing week 9 and increasing my time from there too!

Wasn't this country founded as "one nation under God". Is that statement so outlandish? Unheard of? The pledge of allegiance says otherwise, our money says In God we Trust. I think the hand of God had a lot to do with guiding those individuals who founded this country. Did he mean that he didn't believe in the big bang theory because many many million don't. Or did he not believe that any sort of evolution goes on.

i love bags too, however designer isn't in our budget! So thankfully my husband was in korea for a year and sent me 5 coaches they were $30 each. Also the Chech Repbublic sells bags cheap too, I'm going to go in Feb. for a girls weekend and shop till I drop. Supposedly they are between 5 and 20 euro. Of course these are knock offs, but event he Coach store couldn't tell mine was a knock off. It's even stamped inside with the authentic Coach stamp and they are all lined in Coach material on the inside.

I love this thing! It keeps me from mindless snacking. I'm trying forl a 1000 calorie deficit everyday, is that too little you think. that's 7000 a week about 2lbs gone. Maybe i should try for 3lbs? that would only be 1500 calorie deficit each day. I can' t wait to talk to the coach, i have to wait till friday because of the holiday

I don't know how you do it.....I tried

i too thought the chewing would be hard. I tried to do it prebanding and the food had no taste that way. But after banding, I started chewing until liquid with no problem, it wasn't hard at all, now it's a reflex. The drinking with meals thing seemed it was going to be hard as well. it wasn't. I don't even care now. I do sometimes just take a sip here and there, less than a shot glass though. It something is spicey or extra thick. -
So...what's up with SALAD?
sweethot143 replied to morningoasis811's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
i eat lots of salads with everything in them, eggs, deli meat, cheese, ect. My husband and I share one for lunch quite often. -
va, way to go on the almost 230s! I can't wait for my next fill in january.
-
The call would be free. How do i call my coach or even know who it is? My vonage should be fixed here soon, i'm just waiting on a new part then this wouldn't be an issue. I don't mind calling my coach myself though. I'm loving this thing already, I exercised 4x today to get my 1000 calorie deficit. It totally helped with the mindless eating too.
-
great attitude brandi! YOur awsome. I'm glad you are still liking the Marine. ok, so i'm loving bodybugg! I exercised 4x today! To reach my 1000 calorie deficit. crazy. I made a meal plan for tomorrow that's 1000 calories, today i ate too much 1300 calories before i even logged any in. So it was a hard day to burn them all and more. I think this thing is going to give me the jump start i need to lose the rest.

I got my bugg, i just activated it online. Now i'm just waiting for my coaching session. Tamala-I have an international phone # can I still have my coaching sessions? My american line is broken for now.
-
activated my bugg! it's irritating my arm though. hopefully i'll get used to it. I'm excited to start logging my food.
-
brandi- your hilarious. I can just see Jesus saying, Jesus Out. I died laughing. I'm sorry you got disappointed. Give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he's second thinking because he's scared too. Maybe he figures he should save you for when he is ready to have a relationship again. i don't know. I'm really sorry though, I can imagine the anticipation and then a phone call and then your heart sinking. Sorry girl. That sucks. yesterday was my bandiversary and my bodybugg is here!!! yeahh!

I don't have a problem staying anywhere for a long time. I do the 3 hr. block and wait for my husband to do clerk stuff too. I do get starving in that time, so sometimes i stick a snack in my bag to hold me over. Or start eating the kids cherios and goldfish, lol. I have no problems sitting through movies either. My life is pretty much the same except I have more energy and have so many more things I want to do that I was too self conscious to do before.

Yeah i'm here now. I've been to Duesseldorf, just to the airport though, it's 2 hrs away. There aren't as many obese Germans, your right. My dr. mostly does American's for the military gastric bypass patients. I self payed for the band, the Tricare didn't cover it at the time and I didn't have any comorbitities. so you must speak German then? We have quite a few friends who served their missions here. I'm sure it was amazing!
-
no not a mission unfortunately, we are too young for that. It is one of our future goals though to serve a senior mission. My husband served one of course, but I'm a convert so I didn't have the opportunity. We are here for work. We love it. The Ward is amazing too! It's American mostly, so the services are in English and translated into German.
-
hi, i'm LDS too. We are from FL, but live in Germany for a few years. I was banded a year ago and doing great!
-
um not exactly
-
brandi- I can't wait to hear how the coffee goes! I'm excited for you.
-
claud-your in my prayers! I hope you find the happiness you are looking for. I'm hopeful another job will come your way. So sorry that life is throwing you lemons.
-
brandi-yeah, I wouldn't read too much into what he is saying. Your right, you could be missing a great opportunity. I would go for it too. It's not everyday that you meet a guy like him. He sounds great. In a way, you have to appreciate his honesty though. That was big of him to admit that, rather than possibly lead you on.

losingjusme goes for plastics

yeah ljm!!! i'm so happy for you! -
brandi-I don't there is anything wrong with you meeting him. YOu guys have formed some sort of a friendship. Even though his honesty was a bit demeaning, in a way. He sounds as if he is a really great guy, who just got out of a long relationship, and doesn't really know what he wants, and is probably just as scared as you are about getting hurt. So maybe this whole, just want to have fun relationship thing is a facade used to convince himself of being all he wants right now. I bet if you met him under different circumstances after he recovered from his breakup, his tune would be a bit different. You guys have so much in common, maybe actually meeting him in person may change his mind. If not, then you've made another really cool friend. Win/win?

bk- you look years younger! amazing. I just noticed you are only 23, wouldn't of guess that by the before. Now you look 18!

nikki- can't wait to see the ultrasound pics!

I so want to see banannie's pics!!! I can't wait!

va- I'm jealous of your fill, it's been a year tomorrow and I still have not hit my sweetspot! uggh.

enjoy the snow girlies! Better you than me. It's freezing cold here and icey, but not really any snow yet. We just get freezing rain and more rain and then it rains some more, all year long!
Being in Rome actually made me miss America. After 1 1/2 years here i'm beginning to miss America. I missflorida, sunshine and flip flops and palm trees. I hope we make it home this year. I'm freaking broke! We are going to Greece in April and after that I think our travels are done for the rest of the year. well, other than short trips. Next year, our last year here, my goal is London, Ireland, and Normandy. We'll only have 7 months to do it in. We leave in August of 09'. Man how time passes!

I would hope non-mormons wouldn't write him off because of his religion. He just seems like he has many qualities that America needs. As far as the family values go, I don't think he would be able actually make written changes on that. that's not the governments place, but he is able to lead by example. The fact that family values are even being spoken of is a step in the right direction. When people hear things enough they start to become that. For example all of the negative influences from the media ect. Our generation is starting to become them! I would like to see more positive out there as well.

so I am loving Romney right now. He seems like a breath of fresh air in a society where the importance of family is fast being forgotten. Anyone agree or dare I say disagree?
