  1. I've had the bodybugg for about a month now and I average 1205 calories a day. I go for a 1500 calorie deficit. so that is a lot of moving. On the days I run it's no problem I can usually have a 2000 calorie deficit. When I don't run, I try to cut my caloried to under 1000.

    Steady Losers 4ever!

makes me burp a little, but not too bad. I drank it so slow and only had a 1/4 of a can. It was slushy so that's why it wasn't so fizzy. So tonight my landlords came by to check something and I casually ask, how was the holidays? They both start crying and say, "you didn't hear the news, our son was killed" There was this terrible accident in front of our village on new years eve, 2 German boys and an american, Their son died. He was passing on a 2 lane very dangerous road, going way too fast. 17 years old. They must think we were terrible, we didn't send a thing, go to the funeral. Oh gosh, I feel so so bad right now. All I could say was, I'm so so sorry. We never know what is going on the German side of things. What do you do in these circumstances? I know that all they want to hear is I'm sorry for your loss or something like that. I know they don't want to hear, it was meant to be, blah blah blah. So what can I do? To show that we care, but without being rude or obnoxious. I could do flowers but it's a bit late for that right? he is buried literally 200 feet from my front door. The is a small graveyard in our village. I'm just blabbering now, but htey just told me like 5 mins ago. I feel so sorry for them.

that dog is so funny! good idea to color the hair.
  6. Yeah, I get it that others choose not to live by those standards, that's fine, but don't kill others over it. YOu have sex, then yes you are accepting the consequences of your actions. Killing the baby should be such an easy option. YOu know, maybe it will always be an option, but hopefully not so readily available. In other posts in this thread, it's been mentioned that noone will ever change their thinking on being pro-life or pro-choice. But reading this thread more and more, has me somewhat agreeing that the government making a blanket law over every single pregnancy regardless of circumstance isn't the best thing for women. I'm still totally pro-life, and the government had nothing to do with that. I would like to see woman have more pride and be less selfish, and be able to make an informed decision, not jump at an abortion because you can get one on every corner. That really is the easy way out. Noone would even have to know, you could just put it behind you and move on. But the baby knows. God knows. It's not the right thing to do in most cases and there is always a consequence for an action, always. If abortions were much harder to get , I think less woman would make that choice. Some may still of course. I get that. I think the younger ones, under 25 may be less likely to kill the baby with a bit more education and a harder to come by abortion.
  7. my own personal motto is "Do what is right, let the consequence follow" In most cases the right thing to do would be to have your baby and do your best for that baby either by raising it yourself or giving it up. If you aren't ready to be a mother then you aren't ready to be having sex. I don't know if the government making these decisions for us is the 100% right thing to do either. There isn't a 100% good way to handle this issue. There will always be those who don't fit the normal pattern. There will always be the extreme cases, such as rape, or the baby is severely deformed, or the mother's life is in danger and will most likey die. Under those extreme cases, I do not believe the government should have say, absolutely not, it should be on a case by case basis with some counseling and education provided for the mothers.
  8. Ok, please don't take offense, but UNWILLINGLY? You made a choice to have sex. When you do that, you are pretty much accepting the consequences. That is the point of my entire argument on this issue. Woman who choose to have sex and then are unwilling to accept the consequence of their actions. I find it to be selfish. Frankly. I know that sounds a bit mean. Your son or daughter and I would almost be the same age.

    How often do you weigh?

I admit I am obsessed. I weight many many times a day. I bought a new scale today and I could hardly wait till I got home to see what it said! I opened it in the car! It weighs me a bit higher than my old one, sad to say. So now I hate the new one. We aren't on good terms.

    Steady Losers 4ever!

brandi and brandy- you guys are scaring me with the tummy issues! I sure hope you guys figure this out. Your both too young to be in constant pain! NOt fair. You guys have worked too hard to have to suffer tummy problems. I"m so sorry to hear of your pains. brandy- no I don't wear a knee brace, but I was actually thinking about getting one tomorrow. It seems to feel better when I wrap it in an ace bandage so maybe it will feel better running with a bit of support on it. It hurts the most when I walk down stairs. I hope I don't have anything torn in there. I'm making an appointment for it next week. My schedule this week is chock full and the hubby is on 7pm-7am shift! uggh. yuck. which means I will never see him. He'll be sleeping the day away. And he has school too. I'm so bad! I'm sitting here sipping a diet rootbeer. I haven't wanted a soda for an entire year now and all of the sudden I'm in the mood for rootbeer. My husband cas a case of them, they are his drink of choice so I put on the freezer to make it slushy and i'm sipping it. bad bad bandster.

    Steady Losers 4ever!

maurdan- nice to hear from you! Faith-I have huge head hunger problems too. And just noticed a few months ago that the sweets cravings are overwhelming! it's crazy. So I've been using the body bugg for almost a month now and eat sweets everyday pretty much. i just work the calories in and manage to stay between 1000-1200 calories. The difference is that i used to eat 3 or 4 200 calorie Cookies and now i eat just one or half of one. Today i had half a Peanut Butter bar thing that i made and that was enough. I may have a bowl of Cereal later though for more sweet tooth giving in. I hope that by eating sweets I can keep losing as well as i am with the bug. i've lost about 8 lbs in a month. My best month yet pretty much. bman-my goodness that sounds awful! maybe it's not band related at all, do you think you should call your dr.? booboo-I so wish you lived by me! You could keep my booty on track too! I can't wait to be a size 8 like you. So guess what, I was chatting with my friend who is getting a boob job. Her uncle is a fabulous plastic surgeon and he is doing hers for almost free. She just has to pay for anist. So I was just joking and said, tell him you have a friend blah blah blah. And she said, of course i can! My mom and her Best friend got Tummy tucks together and recovered at his house for a week with his wife taking care of them. Her mom was free and her friend only had to pay 1/4 of the normal price. So she is asking him if he can extend the same offer to me and do us the same day or close to it and we can recover together. The good thing is that he is in NC which i can fly to for free from here! Of course I don't want boobs, i want a lower body lift. I have plenty plenty of boobs. at 36 D! I know boo boo, nothing compared to your rack, lol. So she is thinking about doing it around July. That will give me enough time to lose this last bit of weight. I am really praying that this isn't too good to be true. If she said it would be free i would, but just discounted seems more believable. She's a great friend that i know really well so I don't think that she would lead me on. Ran 5k again today! my knee is still bothering me. I did something to it in Rome. This time it took me 38 minutes. I still cannot believe i can run 40 minutes without stopping! just a few months ago I could only run 30 seconds! crazy.

    Dr just recommended Bypass

you only have 98lbs to lose! And no health problems. I was in a similiar boat as you. I figured I would go with the lapband because it's reversable and if it didn't work for me than I could always get bypass sometime down the road. Once the bypass is done, that's it! You are also very young like me, I was afraid that in 50 year I could seriously regret rearranging my insides. We don't know the effects of it that long term yet. This is not exaggerating either, almost all the bypassers I know have gained back some or all of their weight. They cannot get a fill to help get them on the right track either.

    Steady Losers 4ever!

hey girls, so our new small thread is quite different. I officially run 5ks! without any walking. it takes me 40 minutes though. I wanted to stop at 2.5miles but I just kept going and going until 3 miles, and then walked for .20miles to cool down. Weird thing is that on monday when I ran i burned more calories per minute than yesterday. I ran less and slower! I ran 30 minutes and walked 10 on monday and yesterday I ran 40 minutes and walked 5. I'm going to have to figure that out a bit more.
