The Biblical Case for Pro-Choice & Stem Cell Research

I know it's an argument I won't win simply because I have different beliefs than you. That's fine with me. It's not that i'm confused about what I believe, i'm just now a Word Master like some others, and when typing and you can't hear a tone, things can be taken the wrong way and be read into much more than if we were speaking to one another. I don't know, I guess i'm just sick of the abortion discussion, i was just commenting on the twisting of scripture that's all. Afterall, I won't be the one who is being judged for killing babies, and I wouldn't be the one who stands out front abortion clinics protesting. I just stand by my belief that it is wrong, i'll never have one, and if one of my friends did, I would lose total respect for them. -
NG-the pain is still there, I stayed on liquids today, just incase something is wrong. I think i feel better though since earlier, i breathe fine and have no problems drinking anything, even a thick Protein shake, yuck. is it normal to be able to really burp? I burp just like i used to. I thought we wouldn't be able to? maybe i'm going nuts. NG I did take your advice about meal planning, today i went to the store and got enough meals for next week. Including tuna, salmon that is like tuna, tilapia, mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes, acorn squash, eggs, cream of wheat, cottage cheese, and i also plan to boil some chicken breast and chop it really fine. so i'm going to write down a menu for each day and follow that. I am going out tomorrow night on a double date with another couple so I am going to eat before hand so i won't be hungry. we aren't going out to dinner so it should be fine. is it ok for crackers on mushie stage i'm 3 weeks out? I like to put tuna on crackers or salmon with crackers. what do you guys think? better than a burrito! I'm so proud of all the weight loss that is going on with you guys! Keep it up!

sorry to hear about your friend. I would say that there are bad apples in every bunch. I have a baptist friend who is great but her church actually preaches from the pulpit negative about other religions including the Mormons. I know the Mormon church would never do that, especially since we don't think any of those religions are wrong, we agree that most are good and doing good things for the Earth, we all believe in the same God (most). We just know they are not complete. That's all. Your also right, i don't think an aborted baby would go to Hell. They would just never get the opportunity that they deserved, to gain a physical body and be tested here on Earth. I don't know enough about the embryo research to have an oppinion as to wether or not that is also murder. The President of the Church said not to have an abortion, and that it is wrong, there are few exceptions in which the decision would be made in counsel with the Bishop and heavenly Father. Any thing that comes down from the President is considered modern day revelation. Again, I wouldn't expect people from other religions to consider it that. In 1973, the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released the following statement regarding abortion, which is still applicable today: "The Church opposes abortion and counsels its members not to submit to or perform an abortion except in the rare cases where, in the opinion of competent medical counsel, the life or good health of the mother is seriously endangered or where the pregnancy was caused by rape and produces serious emotional trauma in the mother. Even then it should be done only after counseling with the local presiding priesthood authority and after receiving divine confirmation through prayer." Ofcourse I understand that is our religions practice and may not be yours. I still stand against it. and really don't want to debate it. I just posted that for answers to your questions. -

i never said i had an original edition, i'm just saying you are taking each word literally, making assumptions. the only way youl know if what you are saying is true is to pray and ask if it is true. i know the Bible has been translated so many times, I personally use the King James version which is supposed to be the most correct, but even that version King James supposedly tweeked to his liking. In my religion we believe that the age of accountability is 8, it's not number in the Bible but it is in the Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants. Ofcourse I know that non Mormoms wouldn't take that as fact, I wouldn't have either 6 years ago. But TOM, seemed as if he had no answers at all for that. Makes sense though, my 2 year old cannot repent of her sins, if she has any. she doesn't understand. God is just and fair, why would he damn her to hell? -
a gallbladder? yes i still have mine, i have never had any health problems before other than the fattness that plagues me. i'll check that out. Wheestin- You are so right! what the heck was i thinking. duh. it may have nothing to do with lapband. I guess i was just thinking it must. I can breathe fine now, it only hurts if i sit up really straight or bend over. Glad to hear it's not common with the lapband or at least not one of the complications caused by it.

I have been looking all morning for this info and can't find a thing. I woke up today with weird chest pains. It hurts in the middle of my chest right above my bust. It also hurts all the way to my right shoulder and neck. It hurts to breath or even move my head. It doesn't feel like gas pains did. Last night i ate a burrito, i had some of the tortilla, could it be stuck and causing this much pain? I can feel all liquids going down, and I can drink fine. I dare not try to eat, as i don't want to damage anything. Does this sound like a band problem? I drank hot tea this morning, i feel it go all the way down. I have only had liquids today just incase something is wrong. the dr. is on vaca until monday and i have an appoinment then anyway. so i don't have anyone to call about this. I live on a military base and the ER here has no clue what a lapband is, since the military doesn't cover the procedure.

The Biblical Case for Pro-Choice & Stem Cell Research

i totally not getting into the abortion debate again. BTDT. The scripture doesn't say that adam was not a soul until he took his first breath. We don't know what the original scripture said, who knows how that was interpreted or how many times it was. Oh well to each his own, if it helps you rationalize murder than go for it. BTW, if a child dies in the womb it goes to heaven. Any child that dies before the age of 8 does. They are not accountable until the age of 8. -
thanks so much for the suggestions everyone! Kay-wow, nice butt! You don't even look chubby in that pic. lol. glad to hear your midterm went well. When i live in R.I. i went to a Bruins game once, it was so much fun. I am going to the grocery store today and get foods that I can eat. I am going to cook up some squash, i love squash and mash it up put it in a container, some tuna the same way, salmon if i can find it, i have cottage cheese and ricotta cheese, so maybe between all that i'll have enough meals to keep me out of bad stuff. If i have everything premade maybe i'll eat it. The tuna whips sound so good, i gotta try that. I have a slight problem. Today i woke up with a terrible terrible chest pain. Not a pain like golf balls or heartburn, but in my breast bone, right between my boobs. it's so painful, i can't bend down or anything, and it also hurts up to my right shoulder. I've been trying all morning to find stuff online and on this forum about it but can't find anything. hope somethign isn't wrong with my band. Maybe its from sleep on my side? Like when you sleep on your neck wrong? I drank hot tea this morning, thinking last nights dinner was stuck, and i have had Water, i feel the hot tea move all the way into the lower stomach, so maybe nothing is stuck? hmm. I am just praying that this has nothing to do with the band. I called the dr. but he's on Holiday till Monday and ofcourse noone speaks English. I really need to start learning German. It's not fair of me to get annoyed with them, I'm in their country!! total ignorance on my part. This thread is also moving so fast. Beversman- you are so funny, love it. Bandiva-I ahven't started yet either, but i'm plan to on tuesday, and from then on. dawnae- I am with you on the scale, when it was moving down, i was on it all day! i saw it creep back up, so it's out the window for it now. I hate it now.

hi everyone!! this is cool! I am a bad bandster again! Today I had a super busy day, got my hair cut bright and early 9am with eyebrow wax ofcourse, so i ate bkfast late. lunch, i'm not sure if it was a mushy or not, but i didn't have much time, dinner i was starving and messed up big time, i went to my DH's promotion ceremony and didn't have anything to eat for about 6 hrs. I was so hungry. So i decided to go to Taco Hell!! bowl of oatmeal-bkfast 10 shrimp, 1 tblsp of lf/cottage cheese a whole 7 layer burrito, minus some of the tortilla about 10 nachos just cheese on them 2 now and laters 6 cups of Water. dinner kind of feels stuck the burrito, not sure though, feels pressure in my chest and back, not too uncomfortable or anything just differnet, i feel so full, it's been about 6 hrs now. wow, i hope it's not stuck, i had a cup of apple juice a while ago and some water to help. I hope i didn't damage anything, i guess i'm depressed becuase i feel unorgainized about all this, i can't seem to track Protein, i have no plan, i do what i want i guess. I can't find a decent 220v blender so i can't blend stuff. I don't know, i want this to work so bad and the scale is creeping back up! i am going to start back at the gym on monday when school starts again for my daughter. Thankfully the gym is awsome and free! love it. I wish i had a diet plan, like what to eat each day, i just eat whatever, the surgeon said i could go on soft foods, but would prefer liquids for me only because i will lose faster. But i just can't seem to stomach them. i'm hungry, maybe i'll go back on just liquids for a while to speed this up.

I definitely like to dress in style, but not 80's!! I hated that style and still do. I like the style from the last few years, bootleg jeans, lots of sparkle, funky belts, the highest of heals. i love shoes with heals, 50 style skirts that flare out a little bit. I also like wide leg trousers with a nice button down top. In my hair i like red and blonde highlights and i often wear a headband with sparkles on it and i love eyeshadow, i often wear glitter eyeline. fun fun! I can't wait till I can fit into all the cuter clothing, and not just be the girl with the pretty face anymore.

wow, what a way to twist Scripture! If adam was dust he was not a living soul. he wasn't a growing baby in a womb! Totally different. -
Dr. C-Advanced Platform Lap Bands (Allergan Inc.) formerly Inamed
sweethot143 replied to BabyGotBack's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I asked about the easy band when I went to my consult, my dr. does the easy band, but just started too a few months ago as a test. He said he wouldn't do it on me that it isn't plastic, and because we don't have much data on it yet he wouldn't do it on someone my age. -
barbara- I couldnt' have said it better. exactly! Ok, because I already get depressed shopping for clothing. I don't think I would ever shop if i had to wear a freaking warning label on my clothing! craziness!

Hi everyone! I just read about a million pages. We stayed overnight last night in the Netherlands and had a blast! food was hard for me there. I was a good bandster and brought lots of Protein shakes, but still can't bring myself to drink them anymore. I couldn't read the menus so I had a hard time making choices, we went to dinner at a place that said pizza and Pasta on the sign, so i was like, oh i can eat pasta, chew really good. It ended up being a really cool MOroccan place. with Couscous and lamb and gyros i did get lasagne with no meat and it was delicious. I ate less than a quarter of it and the ower kept asking me, "why you no like my food?" I siad, no I loved it, i'm so full though. "I make you something else?" it was good though. For Breakfast we had free bkfast at the hotel. Dutch breakfast, i stayed away from all the breads and had a little scrambled eggs , but they were so weird and sweet and i had most bacon. Bad i know but i ate about 3 slices very small bites and I also had a few bites of apple without skin from the fruit salad. lunch, bad bad bad, all i could eat there was french fries. we went to a Kinderstad which is a big indoor play place, so cool. They served just burgers and fries. Went to Ikea around dinner time and ate 2 hotdogs without a bun. bad bad bad again. Tomorrow back to being a good bandster. We have so many new december bandsters!! Welcome all of you.

They tase better than a slim fast for sure, but now i am so sick of them. the same brand also makes whey protein by the scoop and each scoop have 50 grms of protein and is all n atural

I hope that you are now able to get the rest you need and keep your energy up. NO MORE COMPLICATIONS DECEMBER BANDSTERS! good idea about setting a goal, we can do a group goal based on our individual goals? want to set a first day of spring goal? My personal goal will be 30 lbs. by the 1st day of spring which is march 22nd i think. we need to compile all the people who are december bandsters ,right? Happy NEW YEAR everyone!

wow, i feel so bad for you! I had a one day preop diet of clear liquids, and thought i would die that day! from that day on I can not stomach broth. yuck. I had a wicked migrane that one day, shaking, it was terrible. I am now 2 weeks post op and am on mushies. I would think that as long as it is the same consistency as your protein shakes and you are still getting as much protein as your dr. reccomends then there would be no harm. Sometimes dr.s vary from person to person, maybe it has to do with that particular person? Maybe your dr. is more strict with you for a reason, i don't know. but when I wnat to cheat or do what others are doing, i think about that. Maybe my dr. wanted me to do it this way for my own health. The dr. know's best, he's the one who has seen hundreds of patients and probablly knows what gets the best results.

How does it feel with the port under your skin?
sweethot143 replied to catzmeow76's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am only 2 weeks out and I can feel mine and see a big lump there. it feels heavy like i'm pregnant. I feel it pull when I stand up straight. weird. but as time goes on I feel it less and less. It's much less noticable this week than it was last. -
a clothes swap sounds great. I have lot's of 18/20's to hopefully grow out of soon! I don't have any 16's left. I threw them all out before we moved to Germany. I am feeling good today, swelling in my port area is finally going down a bit, it's still huge, but getting better. anyone else really swollen in the port area? I can feel the port. The whole area feels heavy like i'm carrying a baby.

NO he didn't have anything to do with 9/11 except provide terrorists a country to breed in! He was a very dangerous man, I for one am glad he's dead. I am a bush supporter, but wouldn't say that he has made 100% the best decisions, and I agree that things are a complete mess right now. I'm sure this is not what he intended. I am glad that he cannot be reelected. I am open for a change, if us Republicans screwed things up, maybe it's time to give someone else a shot. I think that it is healthy to have a different party as the majority every so often. If one party is in control too long, it's not a good thing. So this election hopefully will bring pleasant changes and heal our country and our military. We have many friends who have been to the desert more than once, thankfully my husbnad hasn't gone yet, but he is on the list for this year. I am so sorry for the families our our fallen soldiers.

congratulations, this tool is really working for you! Keep it up, the inlaws will be shocked to see the new you. You're looking great!
