    Thanks for the extra encouragement ladies!! YOu made my day! I wish i had come here and read this before I ate 2 fun size butterfingers for breakfast! lol. I need to dump the rest of the candy. uggh. steph-the fairy princess and darth vader are adorable! booboo- YOu are still much ahead of my girlie! I zipped a size 10 but wouldn't wear it in public just yet, probably take about 10lbs to be presentable. but I am with you to get to an 8!! I say probably 25-30 more lbs. I can't wait!!! I want it so badly, well not bad enough to not eat a butterfinger for breakfast, lol. I can't seem to stay away from Halloween Candy! I feel bad throwing it all out too. whatever shall I do? I have zero willpower. bman- thanks for posting that link, my internet is super slow and nuts, so i wasn't motivated to find the link and and wait and wait till i can copy and paste. We pay for highspeed DSL and because there isn't enough bandwidth available or something like that we get the slowest and still pay for the highest. Nuts. Just so you know, you inspire all of us! When I am feeling like a failure, I go to your before and afters and know that I can do it too. Sorry you are having a rough time right now. YOu can pull through it! Try not to worry so much about losing weight, get the rest of your life in order and that will fall into place too. You look fantastic now. I have been super super tired too, maybe it's all the carbs i've been eating for the past week? Or the depressing dreary weather. Ok so you new Couch to 5kers, we can make it 9 weeks!! How exciting to be able to run 5k without stopping! I can't wait to get to that point. I finished workout 2 of week 2, i put the incline at 3 and really felt the burn! Monday I forgot the incline and wondered why it was easier than expected, now I know. I can't wait till friday! I love love the podcasts, I couldn't do it with out them. claud-The fires are about done right? I'm so happy!

    I found the couch to 5k program on this sight! It's not a workout club or anything like that. google couch to 5k podcasts, download week 1 and go for it. all you need is some running shoes! I like to run on the treadmill, but others run outside too. I am doing it alone, I don't have a group doing it or anything. It's just a running plan.

    hey girlies- so i started week 2 of couch to 5k and loved it! I really think i will be able to finish this program! It's not too bad. I was afraid to weigh on monday, i ate crap all weekend long, so much candy i was sick. I want a body bugg!! What sight did you order on Kaydot? So i've been posting on the couch to 5k thread, and noone even acknowledges that I am there! what the heck? So i'll post my excitement here where people care, or at least pretend to. I fit into a size 10 denim skirt!! too tight to wear in public, but it zips up! I'm still a solid 13 though. I hope this running 3x a week for 30 mins and 30 mins of strenght training 3x a week is going to cut it for exercise. I feel like I'm working out but not overdoing it. I compare to brandi and it's nothing! Should I be doing a lot more? I'm not motivated to. It's freezing cold and dreary here, depressing.

    I eat sushi. I'm banded. However, I don't drink beer or drink coffee, but that's personal choice not banded life. Why can't you ahve coffee?

    couch to 5k is a 9 week running program. It slowly eases you into running. On week 9 you can run 5k (3 miles). I started week 2 today and it went so well. There are awsome podcasts for it online, this guy made them. Google Couch to 5k podcasts. Step does make me sick but only until i get the medicine, after that i'm fine in 24 hrs! I'm still a bit tired but the time change is weird too. We set out clocks back and I had a hard time adjusting to it this weekend. I stayed up way too late!
  7. i started week 2 today and it tired me out a bit. By then end of the workout my face was red and i was sweating, but it felt good! Running for 90 secs at 5.0 wasn't so hard. I am excited to finish out the next two and move on to week 3! I think I can do this!

    NIkii! a boy! wow, congrats. My hubby would be so jealous, we have 2 beautiful girls and he is constantly bugging me to try for a boy! All day everyday, it's either sex or a baby, lol. transformer-way to go on the 225! get over to germany and you can get in the trunk! we have a minivan so the trunk is big and you may still be able to see the dvd player from there. Our van seats 7 so if you wanted you could even have your own seat. Do you like to change diapers? i have a stubborn un potty trained 2 1/2 year old little angel. boo boo- any word on resceduling PS yet? I am praying that it happens for you this year. brandi-sorry you are having a rough patch! Your going to make it through, soon it will be just a memory. You'll come out of this stronger than ever. kaydot-great deal on the bodybugg! I thought they we around $750! I want one! of course we just paid over 3k to fix cars this past month and a few months ago 4k to to fix a rental that we own! so we are broke broke broke for now and paying for all these trips too! maybe after christmas i'll get one. ok, so i fell off the SB again! i seem to cheat on weekends. Oh well. i had a slice of pizza, a few french fries and a mini butterfinger. halloween parties! I finished week 1 of couch to 5k! I ran even though i have strep. I felt good to finish. i can't wait for monday for week 2.

    Could you eat this much in one sitting ???

    i can only eat 4 mcdonalds nuggets and maybe 4 fries, sometimes i only eat 2 and then more fries. Since i've been banded though I 've only had them a handful of time, usually when we are traveling

    another day finished on SB. I am trying not to weigh until Monday. It's so hard! tomorrow is day two of couch to 5k. I can't wait. i'm going to go on yahoo to check the pics. long long day today, 2 year old vomited quite a few times. yuck!

    Nat and steph thanks for the comments! I never though i'd be hearing the words "skinny Bitch" directed toward me! love it. Ok, so i weighed this morning, the scale still hasn't budged! freakin.ugggh. why do i suffer with no carbs and the scale doesn't move? why oh why? so i'm going to stick it out for the rest of this week and hopefully see a change. I started the couch to 5k program today with the pod cast and loved it! My youngest started preschool on mon, wed, and fri so i can go to the gym those mornings, it's next door to the school. I went to day and there was only me and one other girl there, so i ran and shook like jelly and didn't care! Claud- oh my gosh, those fires are so scary! I can't imagine what it would be like to be right there in them! I will pray for your family. ok, because i was so mad about the scale this morning, i pulled out the measuring tape and i lost 1" on my waist, which is probably why i can wear the 12 skirt and couldn't last week. Also lost 1" around my bust it's now 35 around. ok, here are my stats for today. 240/188/175/-52 -13 for the challenge. 1 workout down from 20, 19 to go

    guess what i wore to church today? A size 12 Gap skirt! yeahh me. of course it only fit well because it's a pencil skirt that is meant to button at my natural waist not my giant spot under my belly button. My natural waist is 34" and the spot where I actually wear my jeans is 38"! huge difference. so sunday is almost over i am having dinner and then a sf pudding for dessert and I made it through the entire weekend. maybe the scale will move down for weigh in tomorrow. eeek!

I'm wondering if i should start the phase 1 all over again or just add a day to my two weeks since i took a day off. If I was really good I would stay on it till out vaca on nov. 19th! Then take a week break for that. I'm sure we are going be eating out a lot, and germans love refined carbs, everythng is served with brochen (the most delicious hard rolls in the world) and pommes frites (french fries). yummy. </p> <p> </p> <p>HOw are my depressed buddies doing? </p> <p> </p> <p>Boo boo! I can't believe you brok your fricken toe! that really just adds icing on your cake doesn't it?     girls, i'm feeling just a down as you! i am back on the bandwagon today, I am taking stephs advice, hard for a saturday we normally eat out, but not tonight! ok, exercise challenge sounds great till thanksgiving, maybe that will help me reach my goal of 175 by then. i would like to exercise at least 20 of those days and be down to 175. It's a gorgeous blue skied very crisp day in here Germany. Love it. It helps me be less depressed about falling off yesterday.

  18. wow diane! Your before's look almost like me! I had to look twice. so it's quite inspirational that i can look like you after a TT. I want to lose 30 more lbs before i schedule my consult. I want to be around 155 or so. I'm 5'4" how tall are you?

    bman, that sounds so discouraging! I am not working out how I should, soccer has been cancelled for awhile, the coach is on leave and I;ve just been no working out since. I remember the some girls on biggest loser had your same problem, they knew they burned 4000 calories above what they had eaten and didn't lose anything. I may have the numbers wrong or whatever, but i remember the same problems. I have no advice unfortunately. well i failed today! I feel so bad because of it. I ate some onion rings, went to a bday party had 2 cupcakes and a hot dog and two pieces of candy! My stomach is killing me. Hopefully I can get back on. I am afraid I will not reach my year end goal. uggh. this is so discouraging, what a crappy day.

    Ok, I think i will run over my scale with my toyota minivan! after 5 days of suffering on phase 1, I have not lost an ounce! WTH??? usually I lose at least 4or5 by now. I guess i'll stick with it for another week and see what happens. i wanted to lose 10lbs by the end of the month! uuggh. dang, i should just live on chicken and eggs. I had soup yester day with corn, i didn't eat the corn but a few pieces may have gotten through. so i have to buy two more new tires for my van, i just bought new ones 1 month ago! i have a nail in one that is unfixable. good luck with the ticket brandi! i''m interested to hear the outcome.

    bandiva- 100lbs! congrats to you! you are almost to goal! <br /> <br /> busy busy day today. I have a flat tire and a million things to do, including 2 ballet classes for my girls! Oh the scale is an addiction, it took it back down the other day after about a week, i want to weigh once a week. and i want to step on it so badly today! It's so bad, so i just drank 3 cups of water to discourage me because the weight won't be accurate. I only want to weigh on fridays, I am anxious to see if i lost this week, I have been so good on SB for 4 days straight, i hope i have the will power to make it through the weekend, I hardly ever do.

    bman, so sorry about that bra comment! when i read that my jaw dropped! Whatever was meant by that comment? bad wording i suppose. You and your girls look amazing! So my girls weekend to Chech Republic is cancelled, oh well. Ok Brandi- about these pumpkin reeses, why do i not know about these delicious sounding treats? Man, sometimes I miss out on all the best things living in Europe! Maybe that's a good thing. I was salivating at the mouth when i read about pumpkin reeses. Can you tell I am sugar deprived! Steph-wow! your looking like a skinny girl! isn't it crazy. Boo Boo- YOu look like a completely different person than you did in your befores! I bet you feel like a million dollars! ok, so i am still SBing it! day 3 without cheating. haven't stepped on the scale yet , i'm waiting till friday to do that. I hope it's down at least 5.

    hey skinny girls, So i had a terrible carb filled delicious weekend! but today I am back on track, i hope to lose 5 lbs by sat. I'm going to the Chech republic for a girls weekend and will probably take a ton of photos. I have some exciting travel booked, 1 week in the bavarian for thanksgiving, Rome for our anniversary in December without kids! and we just booked a cruise around greece for April, 8days/7 nights, Kids are free! So i am super excited. I hope to be at my goal of 140 by april, i think it's totally doable to lose 48 lbs by then. that's lbs a week. I would really love to get a bodybugg thing, but we are always spending all the extra on trips, so I don't forsee one anytime soon. =(. Nat and bannanie, i'm going to check the pics now! Brandi even if you didn't lose another lb. you are a complete band success. You don't look like an overweight person, you look like a thin person. I can't wait to get to that point. I still have spare tire hanging on the tummy, um thunder thighs, and chubby arms too. I hate my arms the right one especially, it hangs like an old lady, the left one has a huge scar from a tumor as a baby and has no extra skin because of it and measures 2" smaller! Transformer, I have an elliptical, and it's easy you don't have to be cordinated at all. I like mine alright, but i wish i had a treadmill now, so i could run on it it's getting very cold here to run outside. makes my lungs hurt. booboo- I knew about southbeach before banding but the problem without the band is when you cheat you gain it back fast! with the band not so much. so i failed preband. Banding is the way to keep it off for me. Are you getting nervous/excited for your PS? I am so excited to see the transformation. Your waist already looks teeny tiny, lucky girl!
