I don't know if you have your surgery at a hospital or not, but mine has 2 fitness centers - the one I go to which is closer to my home does not have a pool. The membership is very inexpensive and the trainers come with the membership. If you want a private session, then they would charge. But they teach and inspire at no additional cost. You should check it out.
