Any June Bandsters???
hollygrovecarole replied to candy rain's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tomorrow will be two weeks since my surgery and I am very happy that I finally had it done. I have lost 16 lbs since May 25, when I started the liquid diet. I am now on soft foods and not having a problem. I am still very tired from the surgery and still resting a lot, but I am back driving and have been working in my gardens doing light work. Haven't had anything get stuck, no nausea. I get my first fill in another month. Best of luck to all keep up the good work. -
Any June Bandsters???

I had my surgery on Wed. June 9th and all went well. I came home around 12:30 on Thursday. I started having a fever in the evening and it broke some time in the night. I felt a lot better on Friday, even trimmed roses and perennials in my garden. I am on all liquids, protein and otherwise. I am still having pain in my shoulders and there is some pain in the large insision (one inch) 4 other insisions 1/4 inches each. Took a shower this morning, did it feel good. I had lost 12 pounds on the presurgery diet, but my weight went back up with the surgery. Now can wait for more to come off. I an not hungrey and not having a problem with getting my protein and liquids down. See the dr next Thursday. Can't drive for two weeks, lots of laying around. -

Tomorrow I am having my surgery! I am excited and a little nervious. I am also having my hiatal hernia repaired so I hope that does not cause complications. I will be spending the night at the hospital, home early Thursday morning if all goes well. I am on all clear liquids today, today the protein shakes sound good. I will continue this on Thursday, hopefully. -

Today is my 10th day on the liquid diet and I have only lost 6 lbs and am disappointed. I am getting so tired of drinking those protein shakes, I could screem. June 9th is my date and I can'g wait to get it over. Hope I lose faster after the surgery or I am going to be really disappointed. I fiqured the liquid diet is around 1000 calories a day and I would think I would lose faster. Best of luck to everyone, keep up the good work, and keep in touch, let us know how you are doing after surgery. -

I am on day 8 of my pre surgery diet which is 5 protein shakes and one fiber drink a day. My surgery date is June 9th and I can't wait to get it over and done, so I can learn a new way of eating. I am already losing weight slowly, but the problem is always keeping it off. Good luck to all of you and hang in there. -

I started my liquid diet today and my surgery is June 9th. Not sure how I am going to do only on liquids, but I have to do it. I wish everyone well. The next couple of weeks are going to be hard. -
June Bandsters

I got my liquid diet food kit yesterday. Really worried about the next two weeks before surgery. It would seem like I will be hungry all the time only on liquids. I am really concerned. I am going to have to really work at it. Like most others I can diet and lose a little weight but I always put it back on and more. Also, my husband will be eating his same diet so food will be around me all the time. My husband is a snack a holic if you know what I mean. And he does not need to lose weight! -

Any June Bandsters???

I am getting banded on June 9, 2010, at Hurley Hospital in Flint, Mi. Have to be on a liquid diet for two weeks before and two weeks after. Worried about being hungry all the time, can't wait to start losing weight and hopefully no longer needing the sleep apena machine.
