    Over 2 Years later

    WOW you look amazing! Congrats on your weight loss. Your post hit home for me as I am struggling with my weight. I have had the band for almost three years, one year ago i was 20 LBS. from goal then I guess I told myself I did not care anymore, boy was that a lie. my heaviest 232LBS. my lowest weight since banding 160, my current weight 182LBS. people like you are a lifesaver for people like me, I will get to goal this year. Wishing you continued success, I comend you for not having a fill and still getting to goal! simply amazing!

    Accused of Taking easy Way out!!!

    Hi, hope everything s going good for you. getting the band is the best thing that i have done for myself, and I am almost positive you will be saying that as well as long as you know how to use your newly found tool. As for you friend or so called friend, obviously has no clue how hard it is to lose weight. I give you lots of credit for realizing you have a weight problem and that you want to get healthy for yourself. Do this for YOU, no one else... wishing you lots of success

    Wii Fit Question

    I am thinking that if there is a 300 LB. limit on the box, it probably would damage the unit. You could do the exercises that you only have to hold the control in your hand, not all exercises require you to use the board, and those are fun also. I like the boxing and the tennis,and bowling i could hardly sit for a week! those are all fun and do not use the board. it is very fun, I am really liking the hoola hoop and step airobics. Are you banded? How much weight to get below 300LBS. ? could be an incentive to get the weight off?? Have a great day!

    Moving in the right direction

    Today has been a great day. I am moving in the right direction, finally! I have lost 7.5 LBS since Jan. 3rd. 2010. Can not wait to get back to where I was a year ago, I felt so much better at that weight. I will get there, with determination and lots of will power and help from all you great people here at Lapbandtalk.com. Wishing you all continued success in your weight loss journey. :thumbdown:

    Today has been a great day.:confused: I am moving in the right direction, finally! I have lost 7.5 LBS since Jan. 3rd. 2010.     Mii and my Wii!

    I got a Wii for christmas too. It's lots of fun. I like the hula hoop and the step. I have a bad back and I can do that with no problems. I also walk on treadmill. I find that with the Wii, i am getting a good workout with having fun at the same time. I love to challenge my son.

I am almost done with college so i can give more time to myself and THIS JOURNEY IN MY LIFE. 2010 is the year that I will get to goal, for myself..... Week one, SW 191LBS DOWN to 187, that's a good start to a new me, always open for lots of encouragement.

    Hi Nobodies girl, It's been awhile since i have posted to this thread. I see your the most recent thread. How is the band working for you? It's nice to have your mother- in- law doing it with you, I think it would be much easier to have somebody close that can relae. We all know it's no magic bullet, just a tool. But it does work if it's used correctly. So how much have you lost? I have been banded since 2/13/07 i lost 72 LBS. then this past NOvember, it started looking ugly, with a 20 LB gain. I was just not taking the time to eat healty, exercise, and all those rule things. So I am back on track, and hope to get to goal by labor day. Hope every thing goes good for you, see you around lapbandtalk........

    Can you stall with not getting enough calories and protein??

    I joind the site WWW.fitday.com So i could log all my food so i could find how just how much i am getting in, well after logging my foods for breakfast and lunch, protein did not add up to much and the calories for the two meals was only 455 calories. Thats probably why i have not lost much weight, i don't think i am eating enough. can anybody tell me, if that plays a big part in stalling, if your not eating enough calories?? I will continue to work on the calories and the protein and just see if it makes a difference, i will blog my results.

    Labor Day Wt loss Challenge- Sept. 7th

    Hi just making sure i know the rules here for the challenge. So you weigh in weekly (Mondays)? go to the spread sheet at google and type in your LBS. lost. is that all there is too it?? Never done this before thanks

    The scale is moving in the right direction now....

    I've lost 5 LBS. this week, I'm so happy. I feel in control now. I hope it continues. I have been walking everyday and some days have been going for two walks. The evening are the worst for me as far as wanting to eat. I have been eating my protein first then if I still have room i will eat my veggie, then fruit. Most often i do not have room for the fruit so then i will have that for a snack, so far so good. As long as i am losing i will continue. it's amazing how much better you feel by not stuffing yourself and eating the right foods. I have not cheated once this week so that is good. I will stroll into the next week and see what it brings, hopefully continued weight loss success. With a little help from my band, i will be at goal by labor day.:thumbup:

  22. hey there, it has been awhile, just wondering how your weight loss journey has been going? I straied away for quit awhile but i am back on track. Just courious how you have been doing. i think you are the only Minnesotan i have seen here. Looks like the band is working for you, keep up the good work.

    SHOCKED...even still

    good morning , just wanted to comment on your blog here from some experience i have had. i have been banded since 2/13/07 and you are definately right about being successful if you do not test the waters. I have been successful with the band, yes I should be at goal probably but i'm not. I feel if i did not get the band I definately would have gained back my 52 LBS. that i did lose, and more. Having more invasive surgery? well I have two siblings who have both had the gastric bypass and sure they have lost there weight with one year BUT they dont look healthy, they look sickly, there personality had chanbbed, one of them got devorced, addicted to alcohol, shopping, and strayed away from the family. So I'm not so sure all those negative outcomes would be worth losing weight to me. But you can only decide that this is only my personal experience. Would I do it all over again? yes I would. I am here to help so if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask me. Good Luck in your decision making, I know that if you do get the lapband you will not regret the outcome. Just remember it's only a tool and if you follow the rules you will be a success!
