  1. I have been keeping on track very well the past month. I lost 12.8 LBS for the month of January, WooHoo! I have been working out one hour a day for 5-6 days a week. i have so much more energy, i love it! I will be coming up on my three year bandiversary, so I will be seeing my Doc. in a couple of weeks, i am hoping to get a fill, it's been over a year, I am 28 LBS. from goal. I am so ready to be there. People ask me"would you do it all again" and i quickly respond with, " yes! without the band I would be at my starting weight plus more. i love it!" it does work, you have to know how to use the band it's only a tool and exercising is another very important piece to burning the fat and keeping it off. I am not to goal yet but I am so loving life so much more, it is all so worth it. Thanks to my friends on here without your support it would be so much harder. :drool:

    thanks for the kind words..... I had another 1.6 LB. loss for the week so yeah very much worth it! Congrats on your banding and good luck on your journey :thumbup:

    OMG what is going on? Never heard of anyone's hair falling out who has had the band. I do know some who's hair has thined with the gastric bypass. Hope you find a cure. Keep strong!

    I said I would post today my last weigh in... well.. it did not go as I had hoped, but I am ok with staying the same, I guess it's better than gaining. :sad: I was going through my weekly weights since being banded,and this is what i came up with...... Feb. 2007~~~ banded~~~~ 233 LBS. Feb. 2008~~~1 yr. ann.~~~ down 66 LBS. Feb. 2009~~~2 yr. ann.~~~down 59 LBS. Feb. 2010~~~3 yr ann~~~ down 58 LBS. From 1 yr. ann, to 2 yr. ann. i had gained a total of 7 LBS. I guess that is'nt bad. I am hoping for my third year ann. to be close to 59 LBS. gone . Well i was close 58 LBS. down! :drool: I am so Happy!!

    Last weight in for the month

    Well tomorrow is my last weigh in for the month. Monday's are my weigh in days, I started doing that after I would weigh myself daily and if I did not lose I would be so discouraged and of course start eating. From experience, do not weigh yourself daily it will set you up for failure. Hopefully tomorrow i will be out of the 180's! Will let you know. It's been a good weekend, not even one cheat. Till next time, Keep motivated and stay strong for this long ride It will be worth it in the end.:thumbup:

    Minnesota Folks-Where are you?

    Been awhile since I have posted here. How are all you Minnesotans? How has your journeys been? I ws banded 2/13/07 232/182/145... It's been a bit of a struggle for me, but I am back on track and looking for some support here, If anyone has the time, please drop me a line. I am in chat also, and there is no one besides me in there from Minnesota, so come join us there is lots of good information there. Hope to see ya soon.
  14. I am really trying to exercise because I think the weight will definately come off faster by moving. I hate exerciseing too, but I love the feeling afterwards, totally amazing, got to love those endorphens! ;) Keep up the great progress, we will get there. like you said, it takes patients. will look for you in chat. keep smiling.

  18. hi, overall I have done ok, maybe not as good as I would like but I look at it this way... If I was not banded I would have had all my weight gained back, so yeah! I am doing alright!;) How much have you lost? I have 37 to goal, I started at 232/ 182 LBS. now. My advise would be to never give up, we have worked way to hard to just throw it all away, and last but not least do this for your self for a life time, NOT for an occation that will only last a day!! Good Luck to Ya!

    feeling so much energy today :)

    Must be the exercising that i am doing, I have so much energy today it is unbelievable! I exercised again today for 60 minutes. This is good for me considering I could not get myself off of the couch just a week ago! I give myself a BIG pat on the back. I guess I want this more than I thought. :thumbup:
